Set Up Team for Spring Fling 2017

It's been a very busy couple of weeks leading up to SPRING FLING 2017! My incredible and amazing downline group assist me in this effort and it is so much fun. Our customers absolutely love it and look forward to each one. The picture above is our set up crew behind all the decorated project bags. Our customers make 24 cards, 2 each of 12 designs.

Stamping to Share Spring Fling Project Bag created with Carousel Birthday and Cupcakes and Carousels 6x6 paper pack.

Here is a closeup of the project bag created with the Carousel Birthday stamp set and the Cupcakes and Carousels 6x6 Paper Pack. They were so much fun to make as very one of them was just a little bit different.

Spring Fling Name Tags

They also get a name tag. This is Kim who was in charge of the name tags . . . she did a FANTASTIC job!!

Spring Fling Name Tags, That's the Tag Bundle

Kim used the That's the Tag Bundle on page 23 of the Occasions 2017 Catalog to create them. One of my downline members suggested that attendees could easily turn them into a card element by switching out the name for a sentiment. The number behind the name is associated with a door prize. Everyone went home with a door prize!!

2017 Stamping to Share Spring Fling

Here is a picture of our event in full swing. We had over 100 attendees so you can imagine how busy we were with preparations in the days leading up to it! There are always a few snafu's, but we have the most wonderful, kind and caring group of people who seem to understand that not everything is going to be perfect. . . and it never is. But, it's ALWAYS fun! And I think everyone goes home feeling special and THAT's what it's all about!

Stamping to Share Spring Fling

Three first time attendees . . . they had sooooo much fun and promised that they will come back for Fall Flair on October 7!

We had a lot of wonderful demonstrator displays at Spring Fling, but I decided to single out the gorgeous 3-D Succulent Displays created and shared by downline member Laura Erickson. All of them were created with the Succulent Framelit Dies.

Faux Succulent with Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle

Here the paper succulents are grouped into a very shallow clay dish filled with polished stones. The edges of the petals a sponged to add dimension.

This purple faux succulent is perched on a miniature wreath. I love the way the sponged craft white ink makes this stand out.

Faux Succulent with Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle

This grouping of succulents were sponged and some dots were added for another awesome looking project. I'm guessing she used Gorgeous Grunge to get this look.

Faux Succulent with Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle, Dragonfly Dreams Bundle and Window Box Framelits.

And finally, Laura made this incredible project using the Window Box Thinlits and the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle. This time she created a flower from the Succulent Framelits using the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. Absolutely STUNNING! I hope you have enjoyed seeing these displays as much as I have enjoyed sharing them! And that you, Laura Erickson for making these displays. . . and thank you Dorene Bye and Linda Watson, for your help in creating the flowers and succulents that went into making these wonderful displays.

March 2017 Demo Meeting Swap Cards - Anything Spring!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tags Spring Birthday Card Paper Piecing Stamping to Share

Kim Lundstrom created this gorgeous card that features the paper piecing technique in a spectacular way! She cut out the image with several run throughs with the Big Shot Machine with each color that she was going to piece back into her image. The thinlits featured are the Timeless Tags on page 23 of the Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from Avant Garden, a Sale-a-bration set available only through March 31, 2017.

Spring Card with Designer Tee, Window Box Framelits, Stamping to Share

Carmen Olsen's card shows off some spring things on the clothesline! She used the T-Shirt Builder Framelit Dies on page 30 of the Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from Designer Tee, a Sale-a-bration stamp set. The skirt was created with a die from the Window Box Thinlits . . . she just had to trim away one "ruffle" to make it fit. How clever!

Sheltering Tree with Woodland Embossing Folder, Heart Card Stamping to Share

Josie Schneider created a spring forest behind her heart by lightly stamping the debossed side of of the paper. She used the Woodland Embossing Folder and stamped with leaves from Sheltering Tree . . . which is also home to the sentiment that she used. I love the the bit of burlap she attached as an accent behind her sentiment. Such a sweet touch!

Stampin' Up! Thoughts and Prayers, Flourishing Flourishes, Stamping to Share

Judy Hamen created a spring sympathy card. She used words from Flourishing Phrases and the leaves are from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. Then, she painstakingly punched many, many little flowers with the Tree Builder Punch to decorate the outside and the inside of her card. The kindness and caring that went into this card is obvious!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics, Creative Crafters Stamping to Share

Shelly Lommel made a spring card with the Butterfly Basics and the coordinating thinlits. She sponged spring-like colors onto a panel of Whisper White and then did a Whisper White Butterfly overlay. This is one of those cards that has a subtle beauty that is hard to capture with a camera. I also love the Subtles Enamel Shapes accentuating this card.

Stampin' Up! Succulent Garden Designer Paper with Detailed Dragonfly Stamping to Share

Cindy LeMire used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits with words from the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Avant Garden. The background designer paper used in this card is called Succulent Garden. She sponged color onto a strip of white paper and then cut it out and layered it behind the dragonfly for that pop of spring color.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby with By the Shore, Stamping to Share

Faith Boston created a card with the Moon Baby stamp set. She detail cut each image and popped them up on dimensionals over a soft Mint Macaron background found in the designer series paper pack called By the Shore. She overlaid each stamped star with a foil sequin star for a little sparkle. Just a darling and sweet card to welcome that new little baby into the world!

Big on Birthdays, with Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!

Mary Bellis used Big on Birthdays from our Spring Occasions Catalog. To make it very spring-like, she used paper from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper Pack. I love the combo of Peekaboo Peach, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder. The little mini paper clip is the perfect way to add a bit of ribbon accentuating the Delicate White Doily. Lots of fun details!

Beautiful You with Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper - Stampin' Up!

Dawn Michels used the Beautiful You stamp set and with a swoosh and a swoosh, her image was colored in! Pearls accentuate the hat and waistline. The gorgeous foiled paper is from the Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack called Affectionately Yours and it is layered over a panel of copper foil. Mint Macaron Sheer Ribbon gives this card its finishing touch.

Reverse Words with B.Y.O.P. by Kay Kalthoff Stampin' Up! Demonstrator with Stamping to Share.

And this is my Spring Card for the swap. I used the Reverse Words Sale-a-bration stamp set available only through March 31. The grad sentiment if from B.Y.O.P. (Buy Your Own Present). To see the inside panel with the pull out gift card/money holder, and to watch the how to video, just click on Hooray Graduate!

#3 Fab Friday Facebook Live Chat & Demo with Oh So Succulent Card and Window Box

Oh, So Succulent Birthday Box with the Window Box Thinlits and the Succulent Thinlits from Stampin' Up! Stamping to Share, Kay Kalthoff

Today I had my 3rd Fab Friday Facebook Live Chat and Demo. I created a Birthday Card with a coordinating and decorated Window Box. I used the Oh, So Succulent Bundle and the Window Box Thinlit Dies. I LOVE how this projects turned out. Above is the card . . . just love the look of the scattered pearls. And, IRL, the flowers and foliage truly shine because they were all stamped and die cut from our Shimmery White paper.

Here's a picture of the box. I just love the look of that Sugarplum flower gracing the top of the box.

Oh, So Succulent Birthday Card and a coordinaing Window Box with the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. Stampin' Up! Stamping to Share, Kay Kalthoff

And here is a look at both projects together . . . so elegant. I wouldn't say it's easy because there is a little bit of fussy stamping and die-cutting involved . . . but it is definitely elegant!  Enjoy the Fab Friday Live Chat and Video below and have a GREAT weekend!! I will share another box for you on Tuesday.
