Gift Bag Punch Board! Plus How to Video to make a Gift Bag with a Fold Over Top

Stampin' Up! is adding the Gift Bag Punch Board to the 2015-16 Catalog and you will be able to order it when the catalog goes live on June 2. This is the gift bag that I will teach you how to make in the how to video.

There are three bag sizes to choose from: small, medium and large. Once you select the size you want to make, you have to cut the width of your paper to 10" for the small, 11" for the medium or 12" for the large size. You can make the bags as tall as you want to. You can leave the top part plain, or do fold over tops (which I show in the video), or you can punch holes for ribbon closures or to make handles. I will show you this option in the next video that I do.

Here is a look at the base sizes so you can get an idea of how big they are in relation to each other. The smallest one is 2 x 2 1/2", the medium is 2" x 3" and the large is 2" x 3 1/2". You can make the bags as tall as you would like and I will have some tips for doing that in my next video. For now, enjoy learning how to use the Gift Bag Punch Board and create a pretty fold over top to show off both sides of the designer series paper.

I'm back! And, it's time to celebrate quite a few graduations . . . including my own daughter's graduation from Concordia Academy in Roseville, MN. Above is a picture of the card and bag created as directed in the May Kit.

Here is a picture of my daughter, Kasey, alongside her godfather, Brian Kalthoff, on the night she graduated. Of course, I needed quite a few graduation cards so it was a fun opportunity to see if I could alter this month's Paper Pumpkin kit to meet my needs.

Here is how I altered the card to create a graduation card. I added a panel of star embossed Daffodil Delight card stock and then I used the Celebrate Today Bundle from the Spring Occasions Mini Catalog.

I kept the box the same, except instead of tissue paper on the inside, I substituted a panel of Daffodil Delight star embossed card stock adhered to the inside panel of the bag.

The Paper Pumpkin Kits have great value as you can see from the photograph above where the kit is pictured fully assembled. It's great fun and I hope you will take advantage of the 50% off sale for the first two months of your subscription. You too, will be able to "skip to the fun" of having Paper Pumpkin come right to your door each month.

Enjoy the how to video below and after that I have the additional ingredients I used to supplement this month's kit so that I could turn them into graduation cards.
