I love to do the Sketch Challenge at SCS because most of the thinking is already done – all I have to do is follow the sketch. I love my stamp sets so much that I rarely part with them. The main image in this card is from a Stampin’Up stamp set called Simple Pleasures. It is copyright 1995 . . . so this image has been around for a while! It’s a wonderful set to watercolor, which is what I did here.
Supplies: SU Simple Pleasures, SU Simple Sayings II, Creative Impressions Chicken Wire Background. All paper is from SU . . . including the watercolor paper that the main image is stamped on with Black StazOn.
My Tip of the Day: If you want to bring your watercoloring to a new, awesome level of professionalism . . . try using watercolor paper. I really enjoy using SU watercolor paper because of its nice size and wonderful paintability. I admit that I have a lot to learn about watercoloring, but I find that watercolor paper is much more forgiving than Whisper White. I use my Aqua Painter and pick up the ink from the lid of my dye inkpads.
