8/14 Bayou Sand

This card was created for the SCS Color Challenge which was to use Blue Bayou, Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip. It took a color challenge for sure for me to dig out and use my Sahara Sand. NOT a color that I am drawn to! However, as so often happens when I partipate in a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers, my tastes change. I think I LOVE Sahara Sand! It is simply GORGEOUS with Blue Bayou (one of the new IN Colors) and Chocolate Chip was the perfect accent.

I used some Anna Griffin designer paper on this card. It had all those wonderful colors the challenge called for and maybe just a touch of Soft Sky as well. This card is 4.75 inches square - a perfectly lovely size! I used my new Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon - luscious!! The flower is out of my Pretties Kit from SU. I absolutely LOVE being able to dye these flowers to whatever shade I need. In this case - Blue Bayou. I layered a punched Marvy flower in Chocolate Chip topped with a half-back Ivory bead that also came out of my Pretties Kit. The Marvy flower is also layered in Blue Bayou behind the layed Riviting sentiment.
