9/2/7 Serene Sunflower
I was so excited to wake up on Saturday morning with the prospect of having the whole weekend almost all to myself. I could clean, stamp, eat dessert for breakfast and be accountable to no one but me! My hubby and daughters were all in different directions. Two at the lake and two at the state fair for a 2 day 4-H encampment. I could hardly wait to get started stampin'! Then, my throat started to hurt. My nose started to run. I started to sneeze. And suddenly, I didn't want to do anything but go back to bed! Which I did.
When I felt a bit better, I got up, drugged up, and created this card. It's my first one ever using my new set called Serene Sunflower. Isn't it pretty? The background is SU's new Basic Grey paper. Totally Yummy . . . and it looks so nice with Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie and Kraft. The brads are faux!!! DawnL from SCS told me how to make them. You adhere three pieces of paper together and punch them out. Easy peasy! I used my Crop-a-dile and it made the punching a breeze!
