9/27 Stretching a challenge??

Hmmm . . . the challenge at SCS today for Ways to Use It (Link HERE) was Food, Glorious Food! Well, at our house, venison is a staple. With all the hunters in my family, we are well supplied and we eat venison weekly - venison steaks, venison roasts, ground venison, venison chops . . . I think you get the idea. I really hadn't used my Noble Deer set just too often, and this challenge seemed to be calling me to get it out. This is the card I made. Of course, I couldn't just say Happy Trails, see you in the Frying Pan! So, I made it into a manly wishing you well card. heehee! I usually send a "Good Luck Hunting" card every season to both my dad and my brother and I decided this one would pass! TFL!

The details: The base of the card is made from Handsome Hunter cardstock and it is stamped with the pine bough also in Handsome Hunter. The deer scene is colored with markers and stamped onto Very Vanilla. I used the ticket corner punch for the corners and layered it onto a scrap of Chocolate Chip that I tore from one of the layers. This is layered onto Close to Cocoa stamped with Aida Cloth in Close to Cocoa. Then a layer of Brilliant Blue. This is then layered onto Chocolate Chip stamped with Flannel in Chocolate Chip and ticket corner punched. I kept is FLAT so that it would mail easily. TFL! (Oh, and the sentiment is from Summer by the Sea stamped with Brilliant Blue.)
