9/29 Casing with a Twist

I cased this card from SCS. One of my favorite things to do when I am pressed for time or lacking in ideas is to browse the SCS galleries. I even like to browse the galleries of stamp sets that I don't own . . . as in this case. You can see the original card HERE in Genie1314's SCS gallery.

I liked so many things about the card that Jen created that I had a hard time changing much about it! I did, though. Whenever I case with a twist I try to make it my own. First of all, I used a different stamp set - SU's Doodle This. I substituted Tempting Turquoise for the green that Jen used and I oriented the card differently. Ok, I didn't change as many things as I normally do when I "case with a twist" but what can I say . . . the card I cased was pretty much PERFECT!

My papers on this card were Basic Black, Pink Passion, Naturals White, and Tempting Turquoise. I used Tempting Turquoise Ink, Pink Passion, White Craft, and Basic Black. I also used a gel pen and the SU mat pack for the dots. The sentiment is stamped with White Craft and dried with a heat gun. It is from Warm Words. Isn't this card just the cutest??? Thanks Genie1314 (Jen)!

Glorious colour on your bloom. It's so rich looking. I love the way this set looks doubled like that. I'm addicted to it! Mel
