11/16 Christmas Heart

It was one of those days where I woke up and said to myself, "If I have time to stamp today, I am going to stamp with current Stampin'Up sets only." For years I stamped willy-nilly with whatever I happened to grab - SU or NOT. But, now that I am a demonstrator, I have to churn out current set cards on a regular basis. I try to do a few cards a week that use only current sets. Then, I'll do a few more that use whatever - retired or not, SU or not. I want to keep having fun following my muse. Afterall, life isn't all about business, right?

So, as usual, I logged onto SCS to see what the daily challenge was. ROADBLOCK! The challenge was to use a heart image! I went through my current sets - yikes! NOT ONE heart image!! What to do, what to do? Well, hmmm, I have this Elegant Notes set that has yet to see an ink pad . . . could I, would I? YES! I can and I did! I took the bass clef, stamped it once with Real Red onto Whisper White cardstock. Then I stamped it again with Real Red onto an imaging sheet that I use with stamp positioner. Flipped it over, lined it up and pressed it on. Yeah, I had my heart! That is called the Reflection Technique.

Now, I needed to design a card around this image. Since I didn't have time to do the Sketch Challenge on Wednesday, I decided to go that route with my card design. Many layers later, I felt like I had the perfect card for today's Limited Supply Challenge. I used 2-3 stamps, I used a heart image, I used a tool (my ticket corner punch), I limited my layers . . . oops . . . NOT. Sorry, Jen, guess I missed that. I know exactly how, too . . . it was when I picked up the sketch challenge. Never could walk and chew gum at the same time! lol! Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies I used to make this card:

Stamps: Everyday Flexible Phrases, Elegant Notes Ink: Real Red, Basic Black Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Imaging Sheet Technique: Reflection Technique
