11/5 Christmas Blessings

I wanted to make a Christmas card today using my newest set called Star- Studded Season. It's a set with lots of wonderful Christmas sentiments and a great star shape that you can use for lots of things. . . like Fourth of July stars come to mind immediately! Since I used a sentiment front and center on this card, I was looking for a way to really draw the eye into it. I pulled out Carte Postale and used the fabulous florish stamped twice on each side of my sentiment panel. Perfect!! Love it when that happens! I finished the card off with some faux brads and layered ribbon.

Supplies I used to make this card:

Stamps: Star-Studded Season, Carte Postale
Ink: StazOn Timber Brown, Always Artichoke
Paper: River Rock, Holiday Harmony DP, Soft Sky DP, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Crop-a-Dial, Tag Corner Punch, Sponge, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain, River Rock double stitched ribbon, Foam Tape

Here is another Christmas card that I had time to do today. As you know, I like to make flat cards once in a while and at SCS this past Friday, that was the challenge - make a flat card. This card seems a bit boring to me . . . I think I should have jazzed it up with punches or something - but oh well, not every card can be a masterpiece, right? lol! I do really like the Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon running down the left side of the card and I think the Aida Background looks cool. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Supplies I used to make this card:

Stamps: Sidekick Sayings, Aida Cloth Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Creamy Caramel Paper: Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Very Vanilla Accessories: Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon, Aqua Painter, Markers
