12/04 Fun Birthday!

I always seem to be running out of birthday cards - my clients buy so many of them that I have to scramble when I need one to send one out myself! Kid cards are especially hard to keep on hand so I decided to focus on a cute kids' card for today's color challenge at SCS. The colors in the challenge today were: Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Summer Sun. Sad to say, this picture is not a true representation of the colors on my card. Notice how the prima looks a bit orange? IRL, it matches the yellows in the card and on the ric rak perfectly. Not sure why I couldn't get that to show up right with my camera! Even editing wasn't helping! But . . . imagine it matching, because it really does! lol!

The main image on this card is from a retired stamp set called Frolicking Frogs. On the inside of the card it says, "Oh, hoppy day!" Isn't that just so cute??? I got a huge roll of that wide yellow ric rak from my favorite thrift store for just 50 cents! I just love good deals like that. One of my favorite aspects to this card is the trellis background that I used on the panel behind the froggie. It is from Looks Like Spring, a soon to be retiring set.

Here are the ingredients I used to make this card:

Stamps: Frolicking Frogs, It's Your Birthday, Looks Like Spring
Paper: Certainly Celery Designer Prints, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Summer Sun
Accessories: Ric Rak, Ticket Corner Punch, Sponge, Primas, Brad, Foam Tape, AquaPainter
