12/12/ Bali Bird

My preview stamps arrived!!!! THIS is just ONE of the many reasons why I LOVE being a SU consultant!! I LOVE getting the latest new STUFF! This birdie set was in the preview catty and I fell in love with it immediately. Not only is the birdie cute but there are just so many cute sayings to go with the birdie . . . things that you don't always see like, "you got a promotion", "you're getting married', and "you're under the weather." I picked the birthday saying to put with this card because I'm so low on birthday cards and I'm trying to get a few stocked up.
The color combination was suggested over at SCS. We were challenged to use Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and Rose Red. Well, guess what . . . the new paper that you can also find in our Preview brochure had all of these wonderful colors. It's called Bali Breeze and it's sooooo gorgeous! The design of this card is from a SCS sketch challenge.
I put the "it's your birthday" sentiment onto a little easel. At least, I hope that is what it looks like. That's the look I was going for anyway, lol! I made it by folding a strip of paper over into a "V" and trimming the ends. The bird is paper pieced. I stamped the bird onto the whisper white paper, then I stamped him on some of the orange Bali Breeze paper, cut him out and pieced the orange piece onto the whisper white. I got crazy decorating with brads and made some cute flowers with my Three for You Punch, and it all looks pretty neat if I say so myself! lol! Thanks for stopping by!
