12/19 Happy Day Duo

I fell in love with this cute Happy Heart Day set the moment I saw it in the Preview Catalog. I really loved the color combination that they used in the sample in the Preview so I took my inspiration from that. I noticed that the red ribbon on the elephant card sort of disappeared so I tried to "fix" that by layering some pink ribbon beneath it. I'm quite sure that my efforts were not terribly successful, but I wanted to keep it quick. I am almost ready to start cooking meatballs for supper tonight and I don't have time to fuss!
.
The mouse was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with an aquapainter off the lid of the ink pad. I colored the elephant the same way except he is stamped on Naturals White paper. The heart flowers and grass were colored in with markers.
.
Supplies I used for these cards:
.
Stamps: Happy Heart Day, Flannel Background
Paper: Bashful Blue, Real Red, Watercolor Paper, Naturals White
Ink: StazOn Black, Regal Rose, Going Gray, Bashful Blue, Real Red
Accessories: Brad, Staples, Aquapainter, Foam Tape, Corner Rounder, Markers, Ribbon
