I can’t sell my retired stamps because they are still so lovely to me! This card is a perfect case in point! The pear image comes from a 2001 stamp set called Sun-Ripened. I stamped it on glossy white paper with Basic Black and then colored it in with dye inks and my Aqua-painter. The word lovely is from a stamp set called Garden Silhouettes. The stitching is a current set called All in a Row. I recently purchased it and I just love the look it gives . . . no sewing for me!!Did you noticed how the background behind the pear image is colored? I used a kleenex dabbed in reinker to swirl some color behind my image after I colored it with the Aqua-painter. It’s important to swirl after the image is painted because if you do it before, the area that is swirled will resist the new ink that is coming on. That is why whenever I paint over glossy I do my background last as whatever is already painted will resist the next layer of color.Remember all that Spring Cleaning I was doing? I somehow managed to wrench my neck while doing it . . . so I guess I better take it easy . . . maybe put that cleaning on hold for a few days . . . lol! Have a great day and have some fun STAMPING!!!My Supplies for Lovely Pear:Stamps: Sun-Ripened, All in a Row, Garden Silhouettes Paper: Chocolate Chip, Glossy White, Bali Breeze Designer Paper, So Saffron Designer Prints Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal Accessories: Pewter Hardware, Prima Flower, Aqua-painter, Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon
