3/28 Orange Zest

How do you like to use your brayer? I prefer mine with a little bit of orange zest as these cards will attest to!! lol! My technique class for March is called Brayered Beautifully. Of course, I've been totally inspired by the non-stop Brayered Sky samples over at SCS so I felt like this brayer class was quite timely. I have planned out three cards and one of the cards we will make is pictured above. It uses one of my new favorite sets called Essence of Love from the Occasions Mini stamped with Black StazOn over a brayered background.
.
Supplies:
.
Stamps: Essence of Love
Paper: Basic Black, Glossy White
Ink: Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Only Orange, StazOn Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Brayer

Yes, and of course, whenever I brayer, I always seem to mess up. A smudge here, a fingerprint there . . . opps, my stamp slipped a bit on the glossy . . . you know how it goes. So, out comes the guillotine cutter and chop, chop, chop . . . off go the ickies. Now I am left with a little piece of pretty! So, here we go . . . a couple of more cards just so I can use up those pretty scraps! These last two cards are sized at 4.25" x 4.25".
.
Supplies:
.
Stamps: Essence of Love, Antique Cracking (retired but similar to Weathered which is not retired!)
Paper: Basic Black, Brocade Blue, Apricot Appeal, Glossy White
Ink: Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Only Orange, StazOn Black
Accessories: Tag Corner Punch, Buttons, Orange Floss, Brayer, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

And my last scrap card . . . and this one with an Asian flair!
.
Supplies:
.
Stamps: Essence of Love, Bamboo Background (retired), Asian Art (retired)
Paper: Basic Black, Sage Shadow, Glossy White
Ink: VersaMark, StazOn Black, Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Only Orange

These are all amazing! Love your colours, and I'm so regretting not picking up that stamp...you've made it look so beautiful! I'm totally inspired to dust off my brayer!

You make very nice cards. In this you have really touched the asian spirit.
These are beautiful, Kay! I especially love the first one. How are you? It's been so long since we chatted! I saw your post on the crock pot thread and followed you here. :) How funny that we both became demos last July.
