4/13 Delightful Summer
Steve is at the cabin this weekend so the girls and I went to church last evening and that left me with a FREE morning to STAMP!! The challenge at SCS on Sunday is called Featured Stamper. Each week, a SCS member has her gallery showcased in this challenge and participants select a card to "case." I chose THIS CARD by Jodi aka Kharmagirl. She used the set called Time for You in the Occasions Mini catalog. Looking at her card made me think of summer and the only bike image that I own is in my Simply Summer set, a retired SU set that debuted back in 2000. After I got the set out, I noticed the lemonade image and I knew I had to go with it . . . it's one of my favorite images because it always brings back memories of my grandma. My grandma went to Florida every winter and when she came home to MN she always came home with a box of lemons - homemade lemonade was one of her specialties . . . along with lemon meringue pie!!
I really liked the paper piercing that Jodi did on her card, but I knew it wouldn't show up very well on my card because of all the little daisies on the background of my designer print paper, so I decided to stamp the little flowers from the Live Your Dream stamp set. I love how this card turned out and thank you so much, Jodi, for a very inspiring gallery!
