4/18 Butterfly Thanks

Oh, what a pretty card I made!! This card is an A-6 size card . . . let's see, that would be about 4.5 x 6" or so. I used a Carousel Note that I embossed and paper pierced with the Pick a Petal Brass Template. The flowers are stamped on vellum with a very juicy StazOn Black pad . . . I wanted them to be very vibrant. Sharon Johnson has been making a lot of cards on her blog called No Time to Stamp with the Martha Stewart butterfly punch . . . so she inspired me to use my ages old McGill butterfly punch. And, wouldn't you know it . . . my card qualifies for her stamp simply challenge to use black accents. (I do black accents pretty often!!) In addition to the black accents, I love the combination of colors - Wild Wasabi, Sky Blue, Groovy Guava. Even though I've been using these IN colors like crazy since September, they still look so FRESH to me. Of course, the Afternoon Tea designer paper helps pull all these colors together, too.

In just an hour and a half or so I will be on my way to Milwaukee, WI . . . my very first SU regional event. I can hardly wait I am so excited. I have my stash of 50 swap cards all ready to go. My customers are getting as excited as I am to see what swaps I will bring home with me!
.
Here are the supplies I used:
.
Stamps: Live Your Dream
Paper: Wild Wasabi Textured Cardstock, Afternoon Tea DP, Soft Sky, Vellum
Ink: StazOn Black
Accessories: Mat Pack with Paper Piercer, Black Marker, Ribbon, Styled Silver Hardware, Pick a Petal Brass Template, McGill Butterfly Punch, Mini Glue Dots, Pop-Up Glue Dots (to adhere the hardware)
