I made a very sweet Hippo card with Pun Fun and Cutie Pie paper. I found this sweet card by Joanne Basile aka basilefamily at SCS. I changed up a few things . . . but not too many. Joanne’s card was just so perfect to begin with!
.
Supplies for my Sweet Hippo card:
.
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Cutie Pie Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Buttons, fiber, dimensionals, Watercolor Pencils, Aqua-Painter

My next card I’m calling a River Rock Day. I paired River Rock with Old Olive and I love the combination. I think it is soooo cool how the In Colors work so beautifully with our regular line colors. Did you notice the layered ribbon? That’s the technique challenge today over at SCS – layer your ribbon. Can’t tell you how easy that was for me!! I’m crazy about ribbon and layering is something I do fairly often. In this card I used Old Olive Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and layered River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon and Linen Thread over the top. This card uses a sentiment from Essence of Love and the main image is from 100 Proof Press. It’s a stamp I bought years ago already because it reminded me so much of my kids when they were little. We go to our camper as often as we can in the summer and this image just fills me with memories. I heard a rumor that silhouette stamps are the new trend. That is exciting for me as I’ve always loved that look . . . especially when those silhouettes are stamped in colors other than black. It just looks so fresh!Card Ingredients for River Rock Day:Stamps: Sentiment Essence of Love, Main Image from 100 Proof Press Paper: Old Olive, River Rock Ink: Old Olive Accessories: Ribbon, Linen Thread
