8/17 A Featured Stamper Card!

Today, I finally had a little time to play. The last couple of days, I've been getting ready for my SU Open House, creating future stamp camp projects, planning my World Card Making Day celebration, working out my club details and many other stamping related things. Is that work? Hmmm, maybe not!! lol!! But, it's playing with stuff I'm not quite ready to share, yet!
I decided it was time to do something different. I hopped on over to SCS to see who the Featured Stamper was. Lo & behold, who do I see?? Jessica Rone aka Knightrone. Jessie is my friend through Great Swaps Girls blog that you can check out HERE. Jessie is a most talented stamper and has a great gallery that you can see HERE. I found many cards that I wanted to case in her gallery, but I finally picked THIS CARD .
I noticed that Jessie used a textured layer on her card and I was anxious to try out my Big Shot using a Cuttlebug folder. Worked like a DREAM!! I am so impressed with how STURDY the Big Shot is! My layers were: Tab 1 of the multi purpose platform, cutting pad, Cuttlebug embossing folder, cutting pad. Crank it through - easy peasy!! Do you still do the "awww" at the end? I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing paper go in plain and coming out WOW!! It's just such a high! lol!
I decided to use With Gratitude because it was "in season." I've been seeing the tiniest hints of fall here in MN. I took my Aqua Painter and just ran it over the leaves to bleed out the color just a bit. And, notice the satin ribbon?? It's sooooo luscious!! I had to put it on my very first new catty order.
Here are the supplies that I used:
Stamps: With Gratitude
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue (Which looks much softer IRL. Not sure why it's so BRIGHT on my computer!! Yikes!)
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Textile Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

Great idea to incorporate the food drive & cards ministry into your events, Kay! You're so smart....love everything you've done here. I did not get the Big Shot as I already have a CB...I am hoping I can use these dies in it as well!
