8/18 Big Shot Baskets!
You might be asking yourself . . . what is a Charity card?? Well, let me post a picture of one we will be making at my Open House! Here it is -
A charity card is an optional activity at many of my events. If a customer has the time, they are welcome to make a charity card which I will then donate to my church for the Be Frienders group to use. If they want to, they are then welcome to make a second one for a $1 to take home. Charity cards give me the opportunity to use up discontinued papers and inks. Of course, my customers often have these items and love having the idea to take home. This card showcases a new catalog set called Say It with Scallops. It is a stamp set that makes a different because for every set that is purchased, SU donates $2 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Did you know that SU has donated nearly $700,000 to RMHC to date?? I think that is so awesome. My donations aren't quite as impressive, but they are getting there. To date, we have donated 104 cards to the Be Frienders group and 163 pounds of food to our local food shelf. I always do a Food Shelf drive at every Open House event and at some of my other events through out the year. When a customer brings a donation for the food shelf, they get to select a hand made card from my stash as a thank you for bringing a donation.
Here are the supplies I used for this card:
Stamps: Say It with Scallops Paper: Very Vanilla, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Apple Cider DP Ink: Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi Accessories: Very Vanilla Taffeta, Scallop Square Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch
