9/15 Marbled Background

I actually made this card quite a while back but I couldn't share it with you until today! I used it in a swap and now that all the swaps are reaching their destinations, I feel like I can put it on my blog. This card was also used to demonstrate a marbled background technique at my clubs last week. Isn't it wonderful? Clean and simple . . . it's a style I love!

To make a marbled background, I put four marbles into an empty stamp case. I added a few drops of reinker and swirled the marbles over the reinker until they were coated with ink. I used Dotto (a temporary adhesive) to attach my vanilla panel to the inside lid of the stamp case. Turn the case upside down and let the marbles roll over the paper until you get the look you want. So easy and so much fun - this technique brings the kid out in everyone!

Supplies I used to create this card:

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Reinker, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Marbles, Empty Stamp Case, Dotto,

Of course I love this card, Kay, made it at your house last week. Did find marbles at Walmart and will be demonstrating this technique for my card club in October! Have a great day!
