7/29 Refuge & Strength Card
This card combines a couple of blog challenges. . . Stacy's Stamping Stage is featuring a Color Inspiration Challenge and The Sweetest Thing has a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. This is the card I came up with in order to combine the two challenges. I modified the sketch challenge a bit so that I could fit it onto a standard A-2 sized card. The colors are Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White.
The pillows featured in Stacey's Color Inspiration reminded me of
the stamp set called Pocket Silhouettes. I got this set with hostess credit quite a while back, but never quite got around to using it. Then, I decided to use my 1 3/4" Circle Punch to create the biggest circle, but I needed something to put in it. . . so I started looking at sentiment stamps and came across one in my Refuge and Strength stamp set that fit perfectly. To give it a little more pop, I used my Circle Scissors to make a circle matting in Night of Navy and then used dimensionals to attach it to a large pretties kit flower. I had to use two layers of dimensionals, otherwise the flower looked too flat on the card. The flower itself is attached to the card with glue dots.
