7/5 Golf Happy 12x12

Happy 4th of July Weekend!! Here it is, Sunday night and the weekend is almost over. Suddenly, it occurs to me that I missed the deadline for the Stamp & Scrap Challenge which was to create a scrapbook page featuring the outdoors. My most favorite outdoor activity is golfing. I taught my husband how to golf and all three of my girls. I LOVE it!! I'm even on a ladies golf league and you'll find me swinging those clubs every Tuesday afternoon all summer long.

As I created this page . . . I realized that I didn't have a single SU golf set! How can that be? I do have a random golf bag stamp that I've made a few Father's Day cards with . . . but wouldn't you know . . . it's at the cabin! (I keep a few supplies at the cabin so I can stamp while the rest of the family watches a scary movie - I hate scary movies! Or, I'll stamp while they are out snowmobiling . . . someone has to be home to make the hot chocolate, right? lol!)

I decided to dig out that long retired SU stamp set called Frolicking Frogs. Water hazards play a prominent role in golf . . . at least they have in my golf game . . . so this little froggy seemed appropriate for my golf page. I also used a quote from the Dreams du Jour stamp set. And, that little "happy" in the oval below my title? Well, that is from the stamp set called Full of Life. I just used a marker to highlight that one word. You might notice that this scrapbook page is very similar to the scrapbook page I created in this post. That's because this page is meant to go opposite of that page. I like my scrapbook pages to coordinate if possible. Just a thing with me. Below is a close up of the journaling box that I created for this page. The image is colored with an Aqua Painter from ink taking off the lids of the ink pads. Super easy and my favorite way to color.

Thanks for sharing your page, it looks great. I could play golf 24/7 and would rather stamp that watch scary movies.
