There’s a new blog on the block put together by Mary Fish and some of her downline called Pals Paper Arts. I’m excited about this challenge blog because it is going to feature all Stampin’Up products on their challenge sample cards . . . and you know that I think Stampin’Up is where it’s at!! Love everything about this company and plan on lovin’ it even more when I go to Convention in just two days! The very first challenge issued by Pals Paper Arts was a color challenge using a couple of new In Colors, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay, paired with Chocolate Chip. Super luscious!!
I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge as well in making this card. Love that sketch. I tried free-hand cutting my sentiment and that was a little challenging, but I guess it looks okay. I was attracted to the wave of the words because I thought it went so great with the whale from the stamp set called Animal Stories.
.
I’m loving clear buttons these days . . . it’s fun to keep them clear . . . or you can turn them any color by layering paper onto the backs of them . . . in this case, I used Melon Mambo. To get the threaded look, I just cut a really skinny strip of paper and threaded it through the button holes and ta da . . . looks great!

On behalf of the Pals Paper Arts design team, thank you for Playing @ the PPA!
Hi there. I just discovered your blog from Nancy Riley's ISTAMP blog. I love all your cards and had to save you to my favorites. I have a quick question, I am a demonstrator too and was wondering how you get the catolog page of the sets you used on your blog. I don't make a ton of cards but I love using SU in my scrapbooks and would love to show what sets I used on my pages but I am sooo not sure how your did it. Here is my e-mail or blog if you could drop me a line. http://www.jazzescrapper.blogspot.com or soutofline3@yahoo.com
Thank you so much and have a great day.
I love your card, Kay! The little whale is so cute and I love how the layer of Melon Mambo pops! Great job with the challenge colors! Thanks for participating in PPA's first challenge! Join us next week for PPA2!

Hi Kay,
your whale card is simple but very effective and you did a great job with hand cutting the sentiment wave. I hope you enjoyed your self at Convention.
