This is the latest sketch challenge from Stamping 411. I decided to use some colors that I rarely use . . . Apricot Appeal and More Mustard. It isn’t that I don’t “like” these colors . . . it’s just that they are not ones I immediately gravitate to. But, yellow does seem to be “more In” this year so I thought I would experiment with some variations of yellow. Of course . . . chocolate chip goes with everything as it is a fabulous neutral and I think it really makes a nice accent to the Apricot and Mustard.
.
This card features a LOT of punches. I used the Word Window, the 1″ Circle Punch, the Designer Label Punch, The BoHo Bl0ssoms Punch and the Photo Corner Punch. Punches are quick and easy accents that make stamping so much fun (addicting?)! The brads on the front of the card are from the Earth Elements set and the brads accenting the flowers on the inside of the card are from the Soft Subtles set.

Stamping to Share Tip: The image on the main panel is inked up entirely with More Mustard. Then I took a blender pen and took the ink off of the branch. You do this by touching the blender pen to the branch area, then scribble the ink off the blender pen on a piece of scratch paper. Do this repeatedly until your branch is empty of ink. Then, use a Chocolate Chip marker to ink up the branches. “Huff” on your stamp to re-moisten it and stamp it as desired.
