9/21 Back from Founder's Circle!

Hi Stamping Friends! I wanted to get a quick post in before the girls get home from dance. It's been a wonderful whirlwind of fun mixed in with a swirl of sadness as my grandmother passed away while I was at Founder's Circle. We had the funeral this morning . . . a celebration of a long and full life. Grandma was 97 and I'm so glad I was able to visit with her one last time this past month. We've said many good byes through the years . . . but the last one is always the hardest. God Bless you, dear Grandma. The picture above was taken when she was 15 years old and on her way to her first boy-girl dance.

Founder's Circle was wonderful. This is a picture of Shelli and I just as we arrived at Kanab to tour the manufacturing facility. The bus ride went so fast!! Shelli was on our bus on the way out there and it was question/answer and share time all the way to Kanab. On the way back, Shelli repeated the share time with a different bus and our bus got to play games all the way back to St. George. That was blast, too! (Loved the prizes!!)

This is a picture of me at the Stampin'Up rock. Everyone said that if you were on Founder's for the first time . . . you "had" to get your picture taken by the rock.

I will share more pictures in the coming days . . . but right now I am a bit pressed for time. But, I couldn't leave you with out sharing a card. This was my Founder's Circle Swap card. My wonderful downline helped me get a great start on it and Dawn Olchefske helped me finish it up at Founder's Circle. She's a gem and has given me so many great ideas through the years. I'm glad to call her my friend.

The dots on the scallop oval are made with a mini pom pom held tight with a pair of tweezers dipped into Platinum Shimmer Paint. The ornament is stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with Silver embossing powder.

Here's a Stamping to Share Tip: If you don't have a mini pom pom or find it awkward to use a tweezers, just dip the eraser end of a new pencil into the shimmer paint and you will get nearly the same effect!

It's always easy to shop with me at my SU Website! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

Kay, I know we just met at convention, but I wanted to send you a virtual hug! It is hard to say goodbye to a grandparent. For me it was like a part of my childhood dying too.
Looks like Founders Circle left nothing to be desired, hope you had a GREAT time!
