I saw the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 this morning and decided to whip out a card. I haven't used Just Basketball in a while and decided it might just work for that circle element. You'll notice that the Pumpkin Pie paper panel has a lot of Happy Birthdays on it. This is a roll from a Jumbo Wheel that Stampin'Up used to carry. Every once in a while I get it out and it adds just the right touch to a birthday card. The ribbon is from the Orchard Ribbon Originals pack. I made my layered circles with the Circle Scissors and the basketball is punched out with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch. The hoop circle is on dimensinals and the basketball is on double dimensionals to give it even more height.
Stamping to Share Tip: If you don't want to wrap around your ribbon around your card stock panel and tape in the back, another way to adhere ribbon is to run SU Snail Adhesive along your ribbon, then just clip the ends even with your card. Of course, this doesn't work if you plan to do a tie-around ribbon accent, but if you are using your ribbon like a "layer" as I did on this card . . . it's a handy dandy tip to know!
