10/09 I'm Back! Whew! . . . EEEEK!

I lost it . . . my internet connection, my phone lines and my sanity! For a day and a half we were without. It wasn't nearly as hard on me as it was on my kids - - - homework these days is nigh to impossible without the internet. I had to take my oldest to Caribou so she could research articles on Mitochondria and Chloroplast Biogenesis. But, my, how quiet it was without the phone ringing all the time. Anyway . . . onto the card!

This card is made with Sweet Centers. This is the first time I used my Sweet Centers set. I was a little intimidated by it!! But, just like most things that you are afraid of . . . it turns out not to be such a big deal after all. I put skittles in my sweet center and hung my sentiment on a thread made with my black journaler. As you can see from the inside of my card, I made a little latch so that you can access the candy without tearing the card apart. Next time I will use a stronger "door." I used Whisper White and I ended up having to secure the top with a glue dot so that it wouldn't bulge outward. I think if I would have used chipboard, it would have been fine.

The card is adorable!!! Good job! I know what you mean about using the internet for homework. We actually type the science questions into google and get answers on line. I've learned about
