10/4 Stampin' Down Memory Lane

On Sunday's, if I am not too busy doing family things . . . I like to pull out a few retired stamp sets and stamp my way down Memory Lane. Unlike some demonstrators, I have a rather LARGE collection of retired sets that somehow I have not been able to part with (and may never.) I typically don't post the cards I make with retired sets because . . . well, they are "retired." But, maybe from now on I will. I still enjoy seeing things created with my favorite sets . . . even if they have retired, and maybe you do, too. So here is my first Memory Lane card. The retired sets I used were Graceful Words and the background stamp called French Flair. The designer series paper, also long retired, was called Enchante. Even the pretty ribbon was from Stampin'Up. Now, that has been retired a good long time!

Some things that are not retired on this card include the Chocolate Chip paper which I used to make the base of the card, the half-back vanilla pearl from the Pretties Kit, and the tag & flowers were created with the SU Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL die run through the Big Shot Machine. Faith is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and the background stamp was inked up with Mellow Moss. I hope you've enjoyed this stroll down Memory Lane . . . have a great day and thank you for stopping by my blog!

I am right there with you - there are just some sets that will never "retire" from my shelves! I think that they are still very worthwhile sharing - just not in a workshop/party situation! We all like to see our old favorites get some ink now and then! Keep them coming! ~chris

I agree with everyone else's comments! Pretty card and keep them coming! I think some of the retired sets are better than the "new" ones.
