1/12 Petal Card Door Hanger

.
I've seen Petal Card Door Hangers here and there, but had never made one myself. I decided to try it out and wow - it was fun! My customers have been raving about this one so much that I've decided to offer it as part of my Big Shot Class later this month. I was going to do the Alligator Purse . . . but that one can wait for spring. This one is so cute for Valentine's Day . . . don't you just love the snowflakes peeking out from behind the main image? In Minnesota, snowflakes are not just for Christmas!
.
I made my first ever scalloped ruffle. Again, this is a technique that I've seen here and there, but had never tried myself. It's really easy. All you do is cut a strip of paper, edge it with one of our border punches. In this case I used our Scallop Border Punch. Then, you run it through your crimper a couple of times. Next, put a line of sticky strip along the bottom edge of your scalloped and crimped paper, remove the backing and just start applying it to your project. The crimping allows you to follow the curves of your project. There will be some overlap, but that's ok. It's in the back so no one will notice.

If you are located in the Twin Cities area and would enjoy attending some of my events, please check out my Events Calender HERE. There's nothing like hands on fun to learn the art of rubber stamping! Thanks for dropping by my blog today!

Supplies I used to make this project:
.
Stamps: A Happy Heart (111758), Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) (I could have used the Happy Valentines Day sentiment that came in the Happy Heart set, but it was just a tad too long for my Word Window Punch, which is why I went with Teeny Tiny Wishes)

Ink: Real Red (103133)
