1/13 Tea Party Easter

Stamping 411 is always a great place to go when you need a place to start. I love their sketch challenges and now they have color challenges, too. (Haven't worked many color challenges into my routine . . . but hopefully that will be a regular part of my week, too.)

I had just one sheet of Tea Party DSP that one of my downlines gave to me and it's been doing the desktop shuffle! So, rather than put it away and maybe never remember that I have it, I decided to USE it!! I picked my colors from the paper: So Saffron and Almost Amethyst and made my card base from Certainly Celery.

I used the Sweetest Stem Embosslit on Whisper White paper but to give it some color and interest, I brayered it with Almost Amethyst. I LOVE how it turned out and I will certainly use that technique again. I love how a bit a white shows through accenting the details in the die cut. I also really like how the brads look on the die. I anchored the die to my card with a flower from the Baskets & Blooms Die.

On every paper piece that is yellow . . . from the designer paper to the oval and the flower, I softened it up with vellum. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and then punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. I used teeny, tiny pin points of Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive dotted on the back of the words to adhere to the saffron oval. The oval sentiment is then adhered to the Almost Amethyst die cut made from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits 4-pack. The flower, sweetest stem, sentiment and corner accent are all adhered to the card with Stampin'Dimensionals.

I used Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon and paper pierced along the bottom edge to add some exciting details. Thanks so much for dropping by my blog!! Have a great day.
