2/5 Clear Block Holder

My hubby watched me unpack the groceries from Target one Sunday afternoon and before I could put them all away, he grabbed my brand new pepper grinder that I was so excited to use and said, "I'm going to give you this for Christmas." What??? So, then I had to wait six weeks before I could use it! Please tell me that my husband is not the only one to do stuff like this!
.
Anyway, the pepper grinder came in a nice sturdy box that had a lot of pretty Sage Shadow color on it so I set it aside thinking I'd be able to store something from my stamp room in it. At the time I was thinking sponges or daubers. But lo and behold . . . it turned out to be the perfect size for storing my new Clear Mount Blocks!
It holds an ENTIRE set of blocks . . . plus extras that I purchased in a few of the smaller sizes for using at my workshops. I am thrilled with it and thought you might enjoy seeing a picture.
.
I used Modge Podge to adhere the Nouveau Chic Designer Series paper to the box. I used some of our new Satin Ribbon in Very Vanilla to wrap a pretty accent bow around my box. Just one little mini glue dot keeps it in place. It looks so pretty - I just had to share.
.
I'm editing this post to add dimensions since a few people have expressed interest in the actual size of my box. It is 2 3/4" high, 6 3/4" long. The side panels going back are 3" in length. Hope that helps to answer your questions!
.
Have a wonderful day!!

Paper: Nouveau Chic DSP (115670)
Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon (117291)
Adhesives: Mini Glue Dots (103683), Modge Podge and Foam Applicator

Love this! Had to laugh at the story of your hubby making you wait to open it but at least you knew you were going to like your gift. :)

Oh what a neat little box. I've been meaning to find something to store all of my clear blocks in. My fiance does the same thing re: pepper grinder.
