3/19 Very Thankful with Baroque

This card came together so quickly! Seems like I just started it a half hour ago and now I'm posting it already. I love it when that happens. Stamping 411 issues a Color Challenge every Thursday. Patti does an awesome job selecting colors every week and this week our colors were Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and So Saffron.

I started with a sheet of Very Vanilla paper and tore off the bottom part and used a sponge dauber to darken up the edge with Elegant Eggplant ink. I used some Designer Series Paper from Cast a Spell to enhance the bottom, which also decorates the bottom edge of the inside panel at the same time. I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs onto my card with the Elegant Eggplant ink. The ribbon is 1/4" Apricot Appeal Grosgrain. (It's close enough to So Saffron to count!)

The sentiment and the two stamped circle images are from the stamp set called Very Thankful. It's this year's Ronald McDonald house set. I like it a lot and every time a Stampin'Up demonstrator sells one of these sets, Stampin'Up donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The sentiment was punched out with the Modern Label Punch and layered onto our Designer Label Punch, which was then layered onto our 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I just LOVE the way our punches layer into so many different and interesting combinations.

Here is a picture of the inside of my card . . . nothing particularly special, but the little circle motifs and the DSP carry the theme through to the inside panel. Lots of room to write your thank you note.

Kay, this card is amazing. I love how you used a Halloween themed paper on a non-Halloween card. Fabulous idea!!!

We're on the same wavelength! I pulled out my Baroque Motifs flourish too! It will be on the 411 card for tomorrow. Love that stamp to pieces!!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I love the way you make the inside of the card just as interesting as the front. Alene
