3/20 Pretty Easter Blessings

I found another sketch challenge that I thought might be fun to play. It is by Mary Jo Price-Williams who had a blog called Techno Stamper. She creates a Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. Is it really Saturday, already? I've had the print out of the sketch on my desk for almost a week!! YIKES - time flies!

Anyway . . . onto the card! I used the stamp set called Abundant Hope. I had colored a bunch of these images a couple of weeks ago at my local Caribou with pastels and a blender pen on Whisper White paper and it's fun to use them here and there. I've never colored images in advance before without a clue of how I would eventually use them, but I have to admit that having images pre-colored and ready to go is kinda handy!

My card uses the Big Shot and the small dots from Texturz Backgrounds 1 on the Garden Green panel. This is something that is definitely prettier in person! The Bermuda Bay layer is rolled with Bermuda Bay ink and the jumbo wheel called Very Vintage. Then I darkened it up by rubbing my ink pad directly over my panel. Then, thinking the panel was still too plain, I went to my In Color Scrap Box and found an end portion from the Top Note Die that seemed to pull the whole card together. My image is layered to a panel of So Saffron and then raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals. The sweet ribbon is from the Ribbon Originals set called Elementary.

The inside of my card features a sentiment from Abundant Hope. The right side of the card was masked off and then I rolled the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel is rolled repeatedly on the left edge. I used a strip of So Saffron paper to finish it off.
