3/25 A Tweet Thank You

I've been busy and not all of it has to do with stamping!! Run, run, run, run . . . you get the idea? Three teenagers and need I say more? Anyway, tonight's the night to play and since I was feeling the sweet taste of freedom (if just for an hour or two), I looked for a color challenge. . . I didn't want to be constrained by a sketch tonight! It wasn't long before I found something soft and sweet over at Diva Coffee Break Designs. Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Close to Cocoa . . . calm, soothing colors and exactly what I felt like working with.

I got my Big Shot Machine out ( . . . OK, so it is never actually 'put away!') and I cut a Lattice from Certainly Celery card stock. Then I cut a Whisper White Scallop Oval Frame. Close to Cocoa really made the lattice pop so that color was a natural choice for my backdrop. Flowers from the Flower Trio Punch topped with white half back pearls from my Pretties Kit and I was starting to make some progress! Yeah!

I punched a sentiment from the Tiny Tags stamp set with the Medium Jewelry Punch and tucked it under the center flower with a Mini Glue Dot. I put the oval onto a pink card base and realized that I needed to "anchor" the card. So, I pulled out a strip of Certainly Celery card stock and used the Scallop Border Punch on it. I tucked it under my oval and still thought the card "needed" something. Hmmmm . . . how about a bird? I grabbed the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch and that was it . . . I found the missing piece. My card was done!

I guess I now need the oval frame. I have seen several great uses for it now and this one is perfect! It makes a nice edge to the lattice. This is a great card.
