Last evening our family celebrated my daughter's Catholic faith confirmation at the Basilica of Mary Catholic Church in Minneapolis. We had a beautiful evening for the celebration and the service was filled with so much joyfulness. In addition to the card I made and the inspiration which led to creating this card, I am also sharing a photo of Karel with my husband and I and another one of Karel with her sponsor, Aunt Marlene.
The card I made for Karel's Confirmation was inspired by this week's Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge and by a bottle of lotion the my down line Katherine Narog gifted me with before I left for Regionals last week.
I used the stamp set called Special Blessings to make this card. I just LOVE the bird in this set and I've never made a card with this set that I don't like. There's so much that I like about this card that I hardly know where to start! I guess I'll start with the colors: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red ... all inspired by a bottle of lotion! I also love the Chocolate Chip Petals-a-Plenty layered on top of the Chocolate Chip base card. I think tone on tone layering adds such an elegant touch to your projects. The ribbons are Chocolate Chip in Satin, Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain and the 1/4" Rose Red Grosgrain. The image panel is raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside panel of my card is simple. I added a few layers of color to continue the color theme and stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.
Here are the supplies you would need to recreate this card:
Stamps: Special Blessings (113411)
Paper: Chocolate Chip (102128), Rose Red (102544), Pumpkin Pie (105117), Whisper White (100730)
