4/27 A Lunchtime Sketch

I cruised by to check out the Lunchtime Sketch Challenge that Mary Jo Price-Williams posts on her blog each Monday and knew I would have to find time to do it. I haven't made a square card in a long time and this one is just so cute because the circle portion takes up almost the whole square. And, it's so easy to make a large scallop and matching circle with Sizzix Dies and the Big Shot Machine.

I used the stamp set called Garden Whimsy. I think the images in this set look so good when you two-tone them. I did that by inking up my butterfly in Lovely Lilac, but before I stamped it, I used a sponge dauber inked up in Rich Razzleberry to put a bit of edging on my butterfly. I did the same with the butterfly on my inside panel. I created the "trail" with my Rich Razzleberry marker.

This card was such a quick and easy card to put together . . . but I do so like how fresh and fun it looks. It is 4 1/4" square so it fits into a regular size envelope just fine. I've decided to make up a bunch of these and mail them out to everyone placing an on line order with me in May.

Kay, I think this is the absolute best card I have EVER seen with this set, makes me want to pull this out and dust it off. Fabulous job with the sketch, thanks so much for playing along.
What a gorgeous colour combo and what a shame the Lovely Lilac is disappearing! This is so pretty, Kay! Hugs, Andrea xxx
