4/28 S'more Season!

This is a sketch challenge card from Stampin' Connection . . . a demo only website full of fun, friendship and great ideas to get you stampin'. As you can see by the sketch, I took liberties! lol! Originally, I was going to put the bear in the center panel with the S'mores on the outer panels . . . but it just looked better to having him actually grabbing the S'mores. (There's always that greedy S'more eater . . . getting his second before every one else has even had their first . . . well, that's HIM! lol)

I used a new Impressions folder called Square Lattice to make the background panel. To emphasize the bear and his S'mores, I used some Jumbo Pewter eyelets . . . and that also follows the sketch. (have to point out where I did actually follow the sketch!) The image is colored with an Aqua Painter and ink from the lid of my ink pads. I used a Chocolate Chip marker to emphasize the chocolate piece in each S'more. The puffy marshmallows are really cute and are achieved by using white liquid appliqué and puffing it out with a heat tool. The inside panel has a combination of handwriting and a stamped image. I should have added a S'more . . . but I was getting lazy and it was getting late . . . so I called it done and went to bed!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

I love the way you chat to us Kay! And ... I had to giggle at the "S'mores"! Excuse my ignorance ... but ... what the heck is a S'more?????????? LOL! I kinda got it from the image ... but here in Aus ... I have never heard of them! :D Love YOUR take on the sketch ... and I don't think you were too far from the original at all! Hugs, Andrea xxx
