Pearls and Swirls are so much fun! That’s the challenge this week at Late Night Stampers and this is my second card for the challenge. I used the new Presto paper from our Summer Mini. To color it, I did direct to paper . . . another-words, I took my Melon Mambo ink pad, flipped it upside down on top of my Presto paper and rubbed it across the paper until I had the look I wanted. The embossed areas of this paper “resist” the ink so when you are done coloring the paper, all you have to do is take a tissue and wipe off any ink lingering on the embossed images. Isn’t it lovely?

And, how do you like those BLACK pearls!! I used one of the sweet treat cups that I had sitting around, squirted in some StazOn Jet Black re-inker, dropped the pretty white pearls into the mix and swirled until they were completely covered in black ink. Then, I carefully removed them to a piece of scrap paper and let them dry over night. I adhered them to my card with mini glue dots. My butterfly is from the stamp set called Simple Friendship and the sentiment comes from the stamp set called Wonderful Favorites.

This is a larger sized card (6×6) as you may have guessed from the picture. I really wanted to show off the swirls in the Presto paper and felt like I needed to make my card a bit bigger than I normally do. The inside of my card  features a strip of the Presto paper and a medallion from the stamp set Simple Friendship. I punched it out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and put a layer of Basic Black behind it that I created with the Big Shot and the Circles #2 die.
