6/1 LNS Color Challenge and Weekend Pics

Our challenge this week at Late Night Stampers is to create a card or project around the colors of Night of Navy, Bordering Blue and So Saffron. I don't know that I've ever made a card using these three colors, but I decided to give it a whirl.

I used strips of Bordering Blue and So Saffron that I adhered to my card base of Night of Navy after running them through the Big Shot Machine with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder. I just LOVE the texture of this new folder. I decided that Sahara Sand would be a nice compliment to these colors so I picked a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped it and my swirl from Elements of Style in Night of Navy ink. I used a Wide Oval Punch for my shape. I stamped the swirl again with Night of Navy ink onto the base of the card creating the tone on tone. My corduroy button brad was trimmed of its legs and adhered with glue dots. I do so hate to have the prongs showing through to the other side of my card. Be sure to use your Craft Scissors to trim off prongs as you don't want to take a chance of damaging a paper snips.

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today! Here are the supplies I used on this card:

Stamps: Elements of Style (Summer Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Sahara Sand
Ink: Night of Navy
Tools: Big Shot Machine, Square Lattice Impressions Folder, Wide Oval Punch
Accessories: Kraft Corduroy Buttons
Adhesives: Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals

We did some fishing this past weekend and I thought I would share pictures of my kids with their catch! We had lots of luck with Northerns and Large Mouth Bass. Oh, the eating was good!!
Karel caught her Northern trolling.

Kari caught her bass off the dock!

Kasey caught her bass casting from the boat.

Good Morning, Kay....thanks for sharing your card creation. I love the simplicity and ease that this would be for a workshop. I'm definitely using this one as inspiration. Love the pics of your little ladies and their prized catches. My youngest daughter's name is "Kasey", too (same spelling...LOVE it!) Have a great day!
Hi Kay! Such gorgeous girls ... and so proud of their "catches"! All "Ks" ... how clever. I have 5 kids ... all "Ss"! Have a fun day! Hugs Andrea xxx
