7/27 GoDiva Swap at Convention

One of the best things about going to a Stampin'Up Convention is getting to meet your on line friends in person! I participated in a swap with the GoDiva Swappers at lunch on Friday and it was such a ball to meet the gals I know on line. They are a group of top-notch stampers and I am honored to be part of the GoDiva team. Here is the card I made for our lunchtime swap. It features two stamp sets . . . Oval All and Snowboard. What you can't see in the picture is that I used our heavy duty Window Sheet cut out in the same size circle as the snowboarder. Let me explain . . .

First, I used my Big Shot and the Circles #2 Die to cut my circles . . . one circle in Pacific Point and the other from the Window Sheet. Then I stamped my Snowboarder in Whisper White and sponged the edges of the card stock in Whisper White. Once that was dry, I used Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive to draw some lines on my "hill". Then, I sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and let it dry. To adhere my Window Sheet with out any adhesive showing I did this:  I used my Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive to make tiny dots along the outside edge of my Pacific Point circle. I made sure that my dots were on the sponged portion. Then, I let the dots of glue dry completely. Guess what . . . they dry clear and become just like glue dots! All I had to do was position my Window Sheet circle over the top of my Pacific Point Circle and press. Ta Da! It adhered with no obvious tell tale signs and the glitter is contained behind the Window Sheet. The Window Sheet also gives the focal point on this card a nice shiny sheen . . . just like glass. It's really cool in person . . . !!

One little tip for you . . . the Heavy Duty Window Sheet has a Blue Film over it. I left this film intact on the top side on the circle until I was done with the card. That way, you avoid getting it full of finger prints as you work with it.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

Ink: Craft White, Pacific Point
Tools: Big Shot Machine, Circle #2 Die, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Snowflake Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch
