7/28 Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

It's my first day to play since getting back from Convention. Actually, I really have a million other things to do, but sometimes stamping and creating makes for a more relaxed outlook on life - I needed that today! The sketch challenge can be found HERE. I was inspired to use my Because I Care Level One Hostess set because I had an image of it already colored sitting on my desk. Then, the question was . . . how do I incorporate that image into the sketch? It turned out to be pretty easy . . . I used card stock vellum bubbles and stamped my sentiment onto one of the vellum circles using StazOn Jet Black ink. To get my vellum bubbles to stick, I put tiny, tiny dots of Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive on them and let them dry completely so the adhesive turned from white to clear. (When the adhesive is clear, you know it is dry.) Then, I just stuck the bubbles where I wanted them. The adhesive for the most part was invisible and I should have taken a picture of that . . . but then, wanting to "bling" it up with our Basic Rhinestone Jewels, I put the jewels over the adhesive dots.

The inside of my card uses a sentiment from the Messages for Mom stamp set. I stamped the flower again, but this time in olive for a tone on tone look.

Here are the supplies I used to create this card:

Stamps: Because I Care, Messages from Mom
Paper: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Card Stock Vellum
Ink: Old Olive, Marina Mist, StazOn Jet Black, Versa Mark
Tools: Heat Tool, Scallop Trim Punch, Various Sized Circle Punches, Paper Piercing Tool to grab the jewels for placement on the card, Aqua Painter
Accessories: Black Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, 1 1/4" Black Grosgrain Striped Ribbon in Basic Black, Craft & Paper Scissors to trim the ribbon
