9/20 Ribbon Wreath
I had a customer request that I make the ribbon wreath that you see on page 190 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. Gulp! "That's a lot of ribbon," I said. But, being the "gamer" that I am, I decided to give it a try . . . on a much smaller scale and I have to say that I'm tickled with the results! Isn't it cute? I purchased one of those smaller grapevine wreaths and just tied it up with ribbon . . . seven yards of it on this sweet little 6" wreath! I cut the ribbon into 9" lengths. That was enough to give me some room for tying it around and for making a cute angled trim cut with my scissors. I also used one of those BBQ lighters to singe the edges of the grosgrain ribbon to keep it from unraveling. My daughter assisted . . . just in case things got out of hand! lol! The tag comes from the stamp set called Grateful Greetings and provides a nice finishing touch.
