One of the coolest new products debuting in the Occasion’s Mini Catalog is the Build a Cupcake Punch. I wanted to make a card using it and decided to see if I could find some inspiration over at the featured stamper challenge at SCS. This is the card that inspired me created by Marisa aka White Rock Mama.
This cupcake punch has so much to offer . . . not only do you get the cupcakes, but you also get a cherry, a candle and some confetti! I decided to use the cherries on the front of my card, but on the inside of the card, I added a candle. To make the cherries “shine” I added just a dot of Crystal Effects. Love that look!

I am back from my long holiday break. I hope you had a joyous Christmas, too, and that you are looking forward to New Year filled with all kinds of exciting possibilities. I’d like to tell you that I did all kinds of stamping over my break, and I did do some . . . but mostly I enjoyed good old fashioned family time. I feel almost breathless when I think of my oldest . . . Karel will be a senior next year! Our days as a family all under one roof are limited! We were watching some old VHS videos of the girls when they were babies over the break. Oh, my goodness . . . how time flies!! My goal for 2011 is to try to be more “in the moment” so I can not only enjoy the family antics, but treasure them, too.
Here’s a picture of a family antic . . . my daughter Kari at the cabin in WI! And . . . my “sled.”
