3/10 Stampin' Up! Just Believe & Crosses of Hope
Every March since becoming a demonstrator in 2007, I hold a Christian Inspiration Card class where my customers can come and make cards with a Christian theme. This year we will be making an Easter card, a Sympathy card and two Religious All Occasion cards. This card is one of the All Occasion cards we will be making. My heart is positively singing for joy as I had so much fun making this card. I think it will be a very fine card for the many different religious occasions that come up throughout the year. One of my own daughters will be confirmed this coming May and it's nice to know the card will be ready when the day arrives!
I used textured Naturals Ivory for the panel that I stamped the greenery on. It gave the image a very soft and textured look. But, I wanted the look to be even softer, so I put a sheet of card stock vellum over the top of the image panel and deemed it "just right." When your vellum panel is the same size as your image panel, you generally need to find some creative ways to adhere it so your adhesive doesn't show. One of our Circle Ice Rhinestone brads worked perfectly through the center of the cross. My customers will get to select the stone color they want to use in the cross . . . maybe even the birthstone color of the person they plan to give it to. A couple more brads, from our Neutrals pack, adhere the top right of the vellum and the photo corners hold the edges down in their respective corners. The cross is stamped with StazOn Black . . . a quick drying ink that doesn't smear on vellum. The panel is edged with the scalloped trim border punch and the background is stamped green on green with French Filigree.
The inside of the card has a medallion style sentiment that is completely optional. My customers can make it up, but leave it loose inside the card until an occasion comes up and then at that time decide whether or not they want to use the sentiment.
I hope you have a wonderful day and truly, I appreciate it that you stopped by my Stamping to Share blog.
