3/17 Demo Meeting Swap Cards Part One

At our March Demonstrator Meeting we had a great swap theme: Exploring Embellishments! I challenged my Stamping to Share Team to use at least two different embellishments on each card. Here is the first half of our Swap Cards. I will share the second half tomorrow.

This card created by Terri Hall uses our fabulous Basic Pearls. The corner embellishments are created with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. The textured surface of the card was made by using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot Machine.

This card by Mary Dagostino was our Contest Winner. We always pick our favorite from the bunch and that person gets to pick a present out of my Prize Basket. Mary is a brand new demonstrator, joining the Stamping to Share Team this past February. She picked butterflies prettied up with our Basic Rhinestones to embellish her card. The Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon adds an elegant touch. She selected her colors based on the paper in the Elegant Soirée Designer Series Paper Pack.

This is the card that Katherine Narog chose to swap with us and it is a beauty! I love the Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon and the sweet little cupcake accented with the itty bitty flower and a pretty Basic Rhinestone. The sentiment is from the Sale-a-bration set called Punch Bunch. Have you got yours yet? It's a very versatile set that can be used for many different occasions.

This cute card by Mary Smallidge takes it's color cues from the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper called Ice Cream Parlor. I absolutely love the way the Top Note Die Cut fits beautifully into the Framed Tulips. Mary embellished her card with beautifully embossed flowers made with the Fun Flowers Die. The ribbon bow and button come from the Sale-a-bration pack called Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon and Button Pack. Again . . . FREE with a $50 order from Stampin' Up! through the end of the month.

Laura Erickson made an elegant card that had all of us oohing and aahing over it! She used Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon for the stem. Her main embellishment is that awesome flower created with the Fun Flowers Die from our Occasions Mini Catalog.

The flower embellishment is made extra special by the fact that Laura weakened the fibers of the paper with her bone folder and then separated the paper at the petal ends only created a lovely 3-D effect!

This cute card created by Sharon Merritt will be the perfect anniversary card. She left plenty of room at the bottom of her image panel so that we can personalize it with the sentiment of our choice. Her embellishments include 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon and an itty bitty flower sweetened up with a tiny Basic Rhinestone.

Tasha Kast created this beauty. She used the Big Shot to make that fabulous flower. I was so taken with the cheery brightness of this card that I was inspired to create six cards casing Tasha that I am using for on-time drawings at my March workshops! Her embellishments, the button and the ribbon, are from the Ribbon and Button Ice Cream Parlor pack . . . FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration!

I hope you enjoyed seeing the talents of the creative gals Stamping to Share. Stay tuned for more tomorrow!!
