3/2 Stampin' Up A Good Egg 12x12

Several of my customers have been clamoring to see what we will be making at our Open Scrapbook Club this month and finally I had a moment to put a couple of pages together! This 2-page 12x12 layout can be customized to read Spring or Easter . . . or left blank to be customized later. I used the stamp set A Good Egg and I picked my colors based on some designer series paper that is in our Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor Paper and Quick Accent Pack.

This picture shows a close up of one of the flowers that we will create using the new Fun Flowers Die. I paired it with the 5-Petal Punch and a button from the Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack. How do you like the accent on the photo mat? This was a happy accident. As I was making my flower cuts, I had a scrap that was partially cut into one of the flowers and when I put it along side my photo mat . . . it turned into an elegant accent piece! It's the same flower that I cut apart to use as the "leaves."

Here's a close-up of the cute little chick in his Easter Egg suit. This technique is called "Paper Piecing." You stamp your image once on the yellow paper and then twice more on designer series paper. Cut out the two eggshells and "piece" one of them onto the chick. The other egg shell is placed just off to the side like he was "just hatched!"

Here is a picture that showcases the "egg" from the stamp set A Good Egg. You will notice that I used my Tasteful Trim Die for a pretty edging. (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that die!) I really like the colors of these pages . . . So Saffron, Old Olive and Peach Parfait dominate . . . but there are sprinkles of pink and blue scattered about, too. So pretty . . . and as I look up from my computer and out my window . . . there is a four foot snow drift! Thank goodness I can put a little spring in my life with Stampin' Up!

Thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share. I've been very busy with Sale-a-bration and have not had time to post to other boards so I appreciate my loyal visitors!! Hugs to you!
