6/2 Stampin' Up! 12x12 Fourth of July Pages

This will be one of the 12x12 page sets that my customers will get to make this month at my Open Scrapbook Club. My favorite Fourth of July decoration are the swag banners that you see decorating front porches and parade floats. I was inspired by a card on Stampin' Connection featuring a similar swag idea by Wendie Waldman. I used the Scallop Circles Die #2 for the scalloped layer. The white layer was the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and the blue layer was punched with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. The small star punch (retired a couple of years ago) completed the look. It's actually a fairly simple set of pages, but it packs a lot of bang both with the bold colors and the beautiful swag.

Here's a close up of the swag. I used the Simple Alphabet Letters and Numbers to complete the page. And of course a Tasteful Trim Die piece also made an appearance. I'm not sure that I've made very many scrapbook pages without this die since it debuted in the 2010 Holiday Mini. It's my very favorite die for scrapbooking!
