11/28 Stampin' Up! Short & Sweet Snowman

I should be prepping for a Big Shot class that I am holding tomorrow .  . . but instead, I found myself off and creating this very merry snowman. I think he is so cute! The face is created with punches (inspired by Gretchen Barron) and his body is the 3 1/2" Circle Die. I'm ready for some snow .  . . doesn't seem like a MN winter with out it . . . maybe we'll get some on Thursday if we can trust the weather forecast. (not!)

Only three more days (counting today!) to take advantage of SU's Online Extravaganza. You can download the PDF with everything that is on sale by clicking HERE. You can certainly order online HERE, but you can also call or e-mail me with your order.

11/18 Stampin' Up! Button Buddies and the Occasions Alphabet

I got a ton of cute swaps at Stampin' Up! Convention this summer, but none cuter than the one I got from Susie Wood! Of course, growing up on a hog farm in southern MN, I am a bit partial to piggies! The card above is the one that I cased from Susie. Well, that card let to another and another and before you know it I was going "hog wild" over Button Buddies!

Here's cute baby card. I discovered that by stamping the sentiment (from the Occasions Alphabet) twice, I could punch out one section for the outside of the card and the other section for the inside of the card using the one inch circle punch. Talk about EASY!! (And, I love easy, don't you?)

The Doily Triple Layer Punch mades a nice frame for the 1" circle sentiment, doesn't it? I love it when that happens!

I think this is the card I sent to Shelli Gardner to help her celebrate her birthday. I heard she got over 1,200 cards!! That's quite a birthday celebration . . . 'course it was a "…

11/16 Stampin' Up! Snowflower Glimmer Tag/Ornament

This is the Snowflower Glimmer Tag that I made for our Stamping to Share Demo Swap called "Too Cute to Toss." It was really fun to make and not at all hard to do. My club members made this as one of their November make and takes. They were surprised to find out that the flower was made with tag punches! I made a video and posted it below so you can learn how to make it, too.

Here's a view that shows some of the dimension the center of the flower has. Even though I have made quite a few of these now, I'm tempted to make even more to put on the Christmas Tree. You just can't imagine how sparkly the Silver Glimmer paper is until you've seen it in real life. I had a few of these tag/ornaments sitting on a table and when the late afternoon sun glinted off them, it looked like a prize you'd find at the end of the rainbow!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. All of the supplies to create this are listed below the video section.

11/15 Too Cute to Toss Tag Swap Part Two

This is the second half of our Stamping to Share demo swap. I think you will agree that these tags really are "Too Cute to Toss!!"

Cindy LeMire created a really cute matchbook style tag that could also double at a place to put a gift card.

Here is Cindy's tag partially open so you can see the matchbook effect.

Judy Hamen created this cute tag . . . I love the bright, crisp colors and this shows just how much fun it is to use our new Peek-a-Boo die!

Peek-a-boo! Cute, cute, cute!!

Mary Smallidge also used the Peek-a-boo Die. I like how she sponged the edges of the lift up tag to encourage the recipient to lift it up.

Peek-a-boo! and Merry Christmas!

This super cute penguin tag was made by one of my customers. Vivian Barriga used some colorful colorful rhinestone accents silver glimmer paper to make this penguin tag pop! Thanks for swapping Vivian, and for checking out a Stamping to Share Demo Meeting!

Chris Glebus made this darling stocking tag. I love that one of the …

11/14 Too Cute To Toss Tag Swap!

Every month our Team, "Creative Crafters' Stamping to Share," has a demo swap. Occasionally we even have a customer or two participate, too! And, who could resist this swap with the catchy title . . . "Too Cute to Toss Tag Swap"? Once again, we had a great participation and I will share the pictures with you today and tomorrow. Here is the first set of tags:

This is the tag Terri Hall created for our swap. Some of the tags had the words at the top and some had the words at the bottom and both looked great! I just love the way Terri ruffled the ribbon.

Isn't this a cute tag? Kari Cannon made these mini tags/ornaments with with the Stocking Builder Punch. To hold them into the greeting, just use Stampin' Dimensionals . . . the little hooks loop around the dimensionals perfectly!

Laura Erickson created a pair of Holiday tags for us. Her tree has so much pop! I haven't a clue how to do it, but I've seen this technique out there. Leave it to Laura to…

11/11 Demo Meeting Creative Challenge

One of the fun things that I did at our October Stamping to Share Demo meeting was to issue a challenge to case or be inspired by something in your secret envelope. You can see what I did which my challenge HERE. Everyone got an envelope and inside was a cut out from last year's Idea Book and Catalog. This was an optional challenge, but a few of the demonstrators took me up on it and we had our Big Reveal this past week at our November meeting. Above is the inspiration sheet and the resulting card created by Mary Dagostino. I love the way she used the Lace Border and I really like the torn paper effect.

Karen Larson was inspired to create a bag and learned how to make spiraled flowers as a result of the challenge. The designer paper that she used is from the paper pack called Domestic Goddess.

Debby Filiowich loves the set called Tote-ally Tess so it was kind of neat that when she opened up her envelope what did she find, but some inspiration featuring the Tote-ally Tess set! Sh…

11/10 Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets Sympathy

This is a very quick and easy card that my club members are making for our local Befrienders Group. I was inspired by Sandy Shippee over in our Demo Only website. I had a bunch of Crumb Cake Top Note frames left over from another project and that dictated the color theme of my card! The frames are embossed using the Big Shot Machine and the Houndstooth embossing folder. I like to stamp sentiments separate pieces of paper and punch them out vs stamping them directly on my cards. It just eliminates a lot of troubles that can crop up . . . like stamping the sentiment upside down, or stamping it crooked, or stamping it too hard or too light . . . etc. Have you been there? uh huh . . . and so have I!!! lol!

Have a really nice day . . . I hope you find some stamping time and thanks for stopping by!

11/9 Stampin' Up! Personalized Ribbon Gifts

Aren't these personalized mini ribbon spools cute? We had six guests at our Stamping to Share Demonstrator Meeting this week and I wanted to gift each person with something sweet and special and these ribbon spools are what I came up with. I made a video to show you how to make them, too! Our guests LOVED them and so did I . . . you just can't go wrong with a project that is quick, easy and cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog. Have a GREAT day!

11/8 Stampin' Up! Notably Ornate Tag

Last month, I issued an optional "Creative Challenge" to the demonstrators who attend my Stamping to Share Demo Meetings. I cut out pictures from last year's Stampin' Up! IB&C, put them in envelopes and had everyone take one home. Their challenge was to be inspired by the picture. Of course, I had to play, too! Above is a portion of the picture that was in my randomly selected envelope. Below is the tag I was inspired to create.

I used the Two Tags Die and the Big Shot Machine to create my tag from Naturals Ivory  card stock. The scallops along the right edge were from a scrap in my scrap box, originally a part of a cut out using the Clear Scallop Square Die. I used the same stamp set, Notably Ornate and pretty much followed the same layout. I stamped the frame a second time on River Rock card stock and cut a portion out to layer behind the bird providing a bit more contrast. If you click on the picture, you will be able to see a closeup and get a better appreci…

11/7 Stampin' Up! Winter Get Well

These design goes together so quickly, I made five of them! It's that time of year when colds and flu start making an appearance.

This card uses the unusual color combination of Garden Green and Marina Mist. I happen to have two stray pieces of each color on my work surface and I liked the combo so much, I decided to see if I could create something with it. This is my creation! Hope you enjoy it and have a happy stamping day!

Stampin' Up! Supplies used on this card:

Stamps: Dear Santa (WM 123832, CM 123834)

11/3 Stampin' Up! Merry & Type 12x12 Pages

This is the second set of scrapbook pages that my customers will get to make at my November Open Scrapbook Club. There's an early RSVP of November 7, so if you are local and would like to attend, be sure to RSVP here. (oh, and there are two sessions, 9:30 am and 6:30 pm but it doesn't matter which session you RSVP to, I just need a total count for the day - Thanks!)

This pages features the stamp set called Merry & Type, a new Christmas set that debuted in the 2011-12 IB&C. I have closeups of the stamping below. The ornaments were stamped in Real Red ink and then accented with a Garden Green Marker. The rhinestone at the center of the lowest ornament is colored all over with a green sharpie. I just love the technique!

The green background strips have tone on tone stamping using a stamp from the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set. Deck the Halls was colored in with markers before being stamped onto Whisper White paper and getting punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle P…

11/2 Stampin' Up! Dear Santa 12x12 Pages with Video on Accordion Flowers/Ornaments

As soon as I saw the Holiday Mini stamp set called Dear Santa, I knew I would "need" it for scrapbooking. This set of Christmas pages percolated in my mind for some time before I actually sat down yesterday to create them. I think it was one of the fastest set of pages I've ever made since I had it all figured out from the get go. Usually when I start a set of pages, I have no idea how they will end up! I love the Dear Santa letter created from the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty
Designer Series Paper . . . it can be used as a cute little journaling spot . . . or if you have a picture of your kids sitting on Santa's lap . . . that would be a good place for it!

These paper rosettes make pretty Christmas ornaments accented with buttons and bows. I used a 1" x 11 3/4" strip of designer series paper from the Holly Berry Specialty pack, scored it every 1/4" and folded it up. I stuck it on a circle die cut from Sticky Sheets. Sticky Sheets are perfect for pro…
