6/27 Big Shot Strawberries in a Basket

My Big Shot Class is tomorrow and this is what we are going to make! It's a basket full of lovely Big Shot Berries!

My customers will get to make the basket . . . of course. I was inspired by the basket pictured on page 141 of the brand new 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalog. These cards and the design on the basket were inspired by several artists on the Demonstrator Website.

And, there will be strawberry candy to tuck into the basket and into the two paper berries that each customer will also get to make. You can find a tutorial by Julie Beltramo to create the 3-D berries by following THIS LINK. Thank you, Julie, I wouldn't have been able to figure this out without you!

6/20 Stampin' Up! FYI

This is one of the cards that my customers have the option to make at my Say Goodbye Card Buffet. That stamp set called "FYI" will soon be retired along with my very favorite wheel called "Whimsy." I love that wheel for making quick backgrounds on my cards. The paper is called Elegant Soirée . . . also soon to be discontinued . . . and goodbye Early Espresso Satin Ribbon. sniff. . sniff. And, that Designer Label Punch . . . going, going and gone by June 30. Doesn't it layer nicely over the 2" x 1 3/8" oval? Too bad I only just discovered that! Had I figured that out a bit sooner, I might have used my Designer Label Punch a bit more often!

The inside of my card features a sentiment from "FYI" (and there are 9 to choose from!) If is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock, punched out with the Word Window Punch, layered onto a Modern Label punch out and then layered onto the smallest flower from Daisies #2 Die.

Stamps all retiring on June 30: FYI (114365), Whimsy Jumbo Wheel (109688)
Paper: Crumb Cake (120953), Early Espresso (119686), Very Vanilla (101650), Elegant Soirée DSP soon to be retired (117163)
Ink: Early Espresso (119670), Crumb Cake (121030)
Tools: Jumbo Wheel Handle (103661), Big Shot (113439), Daisies #2 (114520), 2" x 1 3/8" Oval Punch (119855), Designer Label Punch soon to be retired (119862), Modern Label Punch (119849), Word Window Punch (119857)

6/15 Stampin' Up! Curly Cute with Strength and Hope

I love the design of this card . . . a couple of the Curly Cute sentiments fit just marvelously across the top edge of the Top Note die cut. I cased this card from Canadian Stampin' Up! demonstrator Sheri Hofley. It was one of the many samples available for us demonstrators to browse at our Demo Only Website called Stampin' Connection. But, you really shouldn't go browsing around in there unless you've set a timer. Let me tell you from experience . . . it's an easy place to surf and surf and surf and the next thing you know, two hours have just disappeared!!

Here are the Stampin' Up! Supplies I used so you can make this card, too!

6/13 Stampin' Up! Beyond the Garden Birthday Cards

Beyond the Garden designer series paper in the Summer Mini has some fabulous BIG, BOLD designs in it. I really love anything blue so when I saw these blue blooms, I knew I had to make a card with them. Once I had one made . . .

I had to make another one . . .

and then another one!! Let me tell you . . . it's addicting once you get started! All of these cards have a border punch or die treatment along the bottom. The sentiments and ribbons are all in the same place as well as the photo corners . . . but each card looks so different from the next because the dsp varies that much in just one sheet!

Oh, and a quick FYI . . . if you like corner punches, I'm sure you are glad that you have the photo corner punch already in your SU punch collection. BUT . . . if it is on your wish list . . . be sure to get it soon! Stampin' Up! is retiring it as of June 30!

Stampin' Up! Supplies:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Wood Mount 115370)
Paper: Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730), Beyond the Garden DSP (122342)
Ink: Pacific Point (111837)

6/12 Stamp Something Summery Demo Swap

Last week I had my monthly Stamping to Share Demo meeting with the ladies in my group. The card above was our project card that Chris was kind enough to share with us. Isn't it lovely? You are getting a sneak peak at a new paper and a new punch that will debut in our upcoming catalog! It's just soooo gorgeous!! I can hardly wait for my customers to attend my New Catalog Pick Up Day on June 30! You will LOVE IT!! All the demos that I am friends with are LOVIN' it!! (As a demonstrator, I just LOVE the perk of getting it early . . . thank you, SU!!) Thanks Chris for a great project demo!

Dawn looked in the Summer Mini for some summer inspiration. I love the perfectly torn layers accented with the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. Dawn used textured paper, too . . . love the way that ups the elegance!

This is Cindy's first swap with us and I think she did a GREAT job with the slide out seed packet. She is a brand new demonstrator and is still working on her punch wish list! I'm sure after trimming out by hand with a scissors 18 For You flowers that Fancy Flower punch may be on her next order!! lol! Great job, Cindy and welcome to Stamping to Share!

Lynn is also a brand new demonstrator and she had so much fun casing Dawn Olchefske in making these adorable cards that she made everybody two cards! What a great surprise for us! Thanks, Lynn, and welcome to Stamping to Share!

Katherine just finished up teaching full-time Kindergarten and even though she is a super busy mom, she still found the time to create this GORGEOUS card! One of the great things about SU is that we have a whole wonderful demo only website to case cards from and Katherine picked this card by Sandy Mathis to case. We all LOVED it!

Nothing says summer like a lime flavored ice cream pop! Angie created orange, lime and strawberry pops for her swap. Of course I had to have lime . . . one of my very favorite summer flavors! Don't suppose you are having any cravings, eh Angie? Pickles with that ice cream pop? lol!

Can you imagine making 18 swap cards that look like this? Nope . . . I can't either!! Mary is an extremely talented stamper for only learning to stamp this past fall and only joining as a demonstrator this past February! What a creative asset to the Stamping to Share team!!

Clean and simple is what this style is all about and Sharon Merritt pulls it off beautiful with Flight of the Butterfly. What a versatile stamp set, I'm so glad it wasn't retired. This set easily puts a little summer fun in your cards and scrapbook pages . . . a must have stamp set in my book!

Beach sand, blue sky and water, warm setting sun . . . that's the perfect setting for an "adult" summer drink! Makes me wish we were having a warmer day! Chris did her summer card quite successfully!! Now, just need to get a few ingredients, get my blender out . . . . ahhhhh.

Kathy's card is perfect for all the summer those summer events that call for Best Wishes! Graduations, bridal showers, and weddings would all welcome a pretty card like this! The perfect quick and simple card that will have your friends oohing and ahhing!

Judy is another new demonstrator in the Stamping to Share downline so this was her first swap. Isn't it cute? I love all the bright summery circles . . . each one decorated a little bit differently from the next one. And just look at that cute watermelon slice! You did a great job, Judy!

Cindy created a lovely swap card for us and you know how I love blue so this Clean and Simple design really appealed to me. I love the Linen Thread, too. What a great way to add some sweet earthiness to your cards and scrapbook pages.

Sue found an gardener's apron card online originally created by Lisa Young. We loved the bright colors and of course the seed packet that she gifted us with! I need to create something with this stamp set. It's just so "happy!"

Judy was preparing for eye surgery the day after our demo meeting so she mailed her cards to me in advance. What fun to find this beauty in my mailbox! Punches and punches and punches . . . turns out, you NEED them ALL! lol!

Mary's summer fun revolves around all the great times that can be had at a "Pool Party." Yup . . . that's a sneak peak of a new color . . . prepare to have a splashing good time at the pool for the next two years!! I really love the way Mary made the waves glisten and gleam with  Crystal Effects.

Terri's card reminds me that wheels are wonderful! I love the pearl and rhinestone accents in the flowers and you can't get much more summery than a base of Tempting Turquoise! Congrats, Terri, on getting a fifth child through high school . . . only one more to go!! By the way, Kimmee's grad party was fun . . . the cake simply fabulous!

If you would like to see my card for the Demo Swap with the Something Summery theme . . . just click HERE. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

6/10 Stampin' Up! Big Shot Gerber Daisies in a Vase

The ladies who attended my Big Shot Class in May were treated to fabulous project! We made Gerber Daisies and put them in a Petal Cone Die Vase. I managed to find some picks at a local craft store that were pointed on one end (perfect for adhering the brad to) and already painted green. I believe they were called Plant Stakes. Of course . . . I'm not so creative as to come up with this idea all by myself. (Not in a million years!!) I learned all about this technique from a fellow demonstrator named Sharon White. She created a great You Tube video and you can learn all about making these flowers, too, just by clicking HERE.  Since we were making three of these beautiful flowers and I had quite a few attendees at my class, I opted to eliminate a layer of flowers (the bottom layer is only two of the largest size) and there isn't any sponging on these bright beauties.

Here is a close up of the flowers. Aren't they pretty?? Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Paper: Wild Wasabi (108641), Melon Mambo (115320), Tempting Turquoise (102067), Daffodil Delight (119683), Early Espresso (119686), Beyond the Garden DSP (122342)

This is the card I created for the Stamping to Share Downline Demo Swap. The theme is "Something Summery" and you have to admit . . . Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper fits the summery theme! These colors are like sky, water and beachy sand. 6/3 Stampin' Up 12x12 Up North Pages

Here is the second set of pages my customers will get to do at my Open Scrapbook Club in June. I LOVE the "up north" theme of this page. In MN the phrase, "We're going up north for the weekend," is as common as "I'll pick up some milk on my way home from work." Of course, my customers will have the option of customizing the title to suit their needs, but I'll just bet that most leave it as is!

I didn't have my camera on quite the right settings when I took this picture and the green on this page is actually Always Artichoke . . . though it kind of looks like Garden Green. I did use Garden Green ink to stamp the pine tree in several generations of images. There's a close up of that below.

Stampin' Up! Supplies:

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree (Wood Mount 115026)
Paper: 12x12 Crumb Cake (119929), Always Artichoke (105119), Early Espresso (119686)
Ink: Garden Green (102584)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Top Note Die (113463), Lots of Tags Sizzlit Set for an accent behind the banner (114508), Petal Cone Die for the banner (121810), Simple Letters Alphabet Dies (115960), Tasteful Trim Die (120893), Extended Cutting Pads (113478), Soon to be Retired Photo Corner Punch (119878)
Accessories: Early Espresso/White Bakers Twine (123124)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive (110755), Dotto Repositionable Adhesive for the photo mats so they can be fitted to the pictures before they are permanently adhered to the page (103305)

6/2 Stampin' Up! 12x12 Fourth of July Pages

This will be one of the 12x12 page sets that my customers will get to make this month at my Open Scrapbook Club. My favorite Fourth of July decoration are the swag banners that you see decorating front porches and parade floats. I was inspired by a card on Stampin' Connection featuring a similar swag idea by Wendie Waldman. I used the Scallop Circles Die #2 for the scalloped layer. The white layer was the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and the blue layer was punched with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. The small star punch (retired a couple of years ago) completed the look. It's actually a fairly simple set of pages, but it packs a lot of bang both with the bold colors and the beautiful swag.

Here's a close up of the swag. I used the Simple Alphabet Letters and Numbers to complete the page. And of course a Tasteful Trim Die piece also made an appearance. I'm not sure that I've made very many scrapbook pages without this die since it debuted in the 2010 Holiday Mini. It's my very favorite die for scrapbooking!

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
Paper: 12x12 Basic Black (119922), 12x12 Real Red (119940), 12x12 Whisper White (119952), 12x12 Pacific Point (119935)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Scallop Circles #2 Die (113469), Tasteful Trim Die (120893), Extended Cutting Pads (113478), Simple Alphabet Dies (115960), Simple Numbers Dies (115968), 2 1/2" Circle Punch (120906), 1 3/4" Circle Punch (119850), Small Star Punch (retired)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive (110755), Mini Glue Dots for the stars (103683)

6/1 The Last Chance Lists are Here!!

I think that June 1 announcements are almost as much fun as July 1 announcements! The Last Chance Lists are out!!! When you click on the highlighted words, you will be taken to the information you need:

this will change daily as it is only while supplies last

also available only while supplies last.

I was surprised by the number of Big Shot dies that are retiring! You will find amazing savings on these dies . . . some of them are 40% off! Don't hesitate to place your orders now while they are still available. You can go directly to my online store by clicking HERE. Click on the "shop now" button on the left side of the page and you will find all the information you need to look over retiring items.

Of course, all online orders will receive a hand-crafted card from me. Happy Stamper tokens are awarded for every $50 product increment purchased and all orders of $150 or more in product merchandise qualify for a free hostess set and hostess credit that you can use toward additional merchandise! Please e-mail me if you have any questions.
