12/29 Stampin' Up! Events Calendar Remade!

I asked my dad to give me a calendar that I could use in my Stamping to Share Studio so with a quick flip or two through the pages my customers would be able to see upcoming events and even sign up for them right then and there. Well, the one he gave me is near and dear to my heart as it's in the style of what I looked at everyday on our family fridge growing up. In fact, it's still there . . . on the fridge on the farm! He uses it to keep track of appointments, the weather (especially rainfall!), and as a kind of a mini diary. On the Valentine's Day he always writes, "Kiss, Rita!" in big letters. (Rita is my mom in case you are wondering! lol!)

I decided to see if I could alter it so show off some fun Stampin' Up! papers. And, alter it I did!! Do you like it? I do!! I used paper from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog. This paper is part of a specialty pack called Sweet Shop. The colors are all 2012/13 In Colors . . . Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Island Indigo . . . and then there are the basic colors of Whisper White and Soft Suede. The polka dot paper is embossed for wonderful texture making it extra special.

Here's a close up of the top of the calendar. I wrapped some ruffled ribbon around the top of the calendar and accented the knot tie with a circle punched circle. (? that sounds kind of funny, but not sure how else to say it! lol!) The scallops are cut from the Scallop Circle Die #2 . . . 7 scallops to a side. I kept it pretty simple because I didn't want to cover up too many of the sweets!

Have a wonderful day and I hope this inspires you to alter one of your calendars with some fun Stampin' Up! papers.

Paper: Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper (available January 4), Wisteria Wonder (), Whisper White (100730)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Scallop Circles Die #2 (113469), 1 1/4" Circle Punch (119861), 3/4" Circle Punch (119873), Paper Piercer to make a hole for the brads (116631)
Accessories: Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon (122973), 2011/13 In Color Printed Brads (122940)
Adhesives: Anywhere Glue Sticks to adhere the designer paper to the calendar (104045), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

12/26 Stampin' Up! Designer Cut Heart

There's a set of Cards and Envelopes that will be debuting in the Occasions Mini Catalog on January 4 called Designer Cuts. They are beautiful and are quickly becoming my favorite "go-to" when I need to create something fast and easy with a lot of pop. On this particular card, I actually cut the heart out of the Designer Cut card with our new Framelit Die which also debuts in the Occasions Mini Catalog. This particular die is from the Hearts Collection, a set of six framelits very reasonably priced. I mounted the laser cut heart onto another heart of Cherry Cobbler cut with the same die and popped it up with dimensionals onto a panel of Cherry Cobbler wrapped with Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and adhered to a card base of Basic Black. To complete the card, I stamped the word "love" from Tiny Tags onto a scrap of vanilla, punched it out with the Jewelry Tag punch, added a basic rhinestone and adhered it to the delicate laser cut heart with a mini glue dot. Done! So very quick and easy!!

Have a great day and do a little "Stamping to Share!"

12/22 Stampin' Up! Language of Friendship

I earned this set at Convention as a reward for sales. I love the detail in the bird and how quick it was to punch out. I love it that Stampin' Up! creates stamp sets that coordinate perfectly with our punches. For this card, I used the coordinating BoHo Blossoms Punch and the Bird Builder Punch.

There's a little sneak peek on this card, too! Have you noticed it? Check out the embossed border at the bottom of the card. It's coming your way in our Occasions Mini!! I sort of went nuts with the pearls on this card . . . I felt a little bit like a kid I was having so much fun!

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for visiting Stamping to Share!

12/20 Stampin' Up! Hostess Appreciation Projects

My hostesses (July through November) were treated to a special day of sneak peaks, door prizes, and Make & Takes at my Hostess Appreciation that I had a week ago today. Of course, I was scrambling to get everything done in time (par for the course!), so I relied on inspiration from my good friend Dawn Olchefske. She created a similar trio of projects for her hostesses a year ago. These were the make and takes . . . a Christmas card, a gift bag made with the Fancy Favor Die, and a gift card holder. We used paper from the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper pack. My favorite were the postal ones . . . so cute! We also used the ornament paper and that was really cute, too.

Here are some button door prizes that I gave away. This idea came from our Stampin' Connection Demo Website.

The Santa Bags were a last minute gift/door prize idea that I got from browsing LeAnn Greff's blog. I made a bunch of these bags in about an hour! Just trim down lunch bags and decorate the front! I closed them up with a mini glue dot. Soooo easy and very festive!!

12/19 Stampin' Up! Kraft Boxes Prettied Up!

I made 34 double rosette topped Christmas boxes for my Stamping to Share Demo Group. I had a little something sparkly (Glimmer Brads) in each one for their gift.  I LOVE these Kraft boxes that SU introduced to us in their Holiday Mini Catalog. I've decorated them up many times already for my hostesses and they have even found their way under the Christmas Tree. They are the perfect size for so many sweet surprises!

Here's an "aerial" view. I used two different designer series papers . . . Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series paper and Christmas Lodge DSP. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite as each one had its own "personality!" It was truly a labor of love . . . my husband and kids prepped, taped and painted (two coats) the kitchen and the front entry into our cabin all the while I was decorating boxes. Steve thought maybe I was "timing" it to finish just as they finished painting . . . but it honestly, it really did take me that long! lol! Thank goodness for Simply Scored! I'm anxious to try a new die that SU recently introduced to demonstrators that will help make this process much quicker!! Wouldn't you know . . . I didn't have it when I made these over Thanksgiving weekend!

One of my downline members, Dawn Michels, gifted me with this beautiful paper ornament. The mushrooms are trinkets from Germany that can be removed and stored separately during the "off season!"

Here's a close up of the tiny mushrooms. Thank You, Dawn! I love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog today!!

12/16 Stampin' Up! Designer Cuts Prettied Up!

I love the card and envelope sets that Stampin' Up! has been offering the last couple of years. You can use them plain or prettied up! Here are a couple of sneak peaks into the Occasions Mini. I added the Blushing Bride accents and in no time at all had a beautiful card. the cards come with Blushing Bride Envelopes so that was where I took my color cue from.

The laser cuts on these cards are so perfect and delicate. I love that these cards have so many possibilities. I decided to make Thank You cards but they would also make lovely bridal shower invitations, wedding or Valentine's Day cards. The card above features a few more sneak peeks . . . AMAZING pleated ribbon! It's a dream to work with. I will be on my hands and knees begging Stampin' Up! to make it part of our regular line! The other little extra that I wanted to dazzle you with is the sweet little heart perfectly cut and embossed. A brand new Embosslit with five little hearts to add to your collection!

I hope you enjoyed seeing a few more sneak peeks!! Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

12/13 A Pretty Gift and an Early Bird Special . . . two days only!

Laura Erickson gifted me with this lovely hand towel and decorated lip balm. ((Thank You, Laura!)) She is one of the Creative Crafters' on my Stamping to Share Team having joined Stampin' Up! just a year ago. She often tells me how much she enjoys being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from the friendships she has made to the fabulous collection of ideas she has at her fingertips via our Demo Only website.

Here's a close-up of the winter butterfly that Laura created with the Big Shot machine, the Beautiful Butterflies Die, the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and a few well placed Basic Pearls. I hope you don't mind . . . but I had to share!

And, I have to share this, too! Stampin' Up! is giving all Leadership attendees the opportunity to offer their friends and customers a New Demo Special! For two days only . . . December 13 and 14, you can sign up to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for the same special that will going into effect on January 24 to kick off Sale-a-bration!

The Starter Kit is a fabulous deal at the regular price of $175. On December 13 and 14, you can get it for $50 off! What a gift that is. And, it's a gift that keeps on giving! Every time you place a Stampin' Up! order, you get it at a discount! Every time you attend a Stampin' Up! sponsored event, you are gifted with Stampin' Up! products. Every time you share your stamping creations with your friends . . . you continue the circle of gifting and sharing.

What are some of the benefits of joining in December? Well . . . you will get to order from the Occasions Mini Catalog. (It's a blast getting sneak peeks like that!) And . . . you will get a FREE Sale-a-bration set for every $50 you place on a demonstrator order! (Did I mention how much fun it is to get sneak peeks?) You will be able to have extra stampin' fun between Christmas and New Years with your family and friends . . . who knows . . . you might even find a new customer or two! It's amazing how many people want to ORDER Stampin' Up! products once they have TRIED Stampin' Up! products!! (Like me and you . . . remember those early days? I seriously couldn't get those beautiful Stampin' Up! stamp sets into my house fast enough! lol!)

12/10 Stampin' Up! Elementary Elegance Butterfly

Before I talk about the card . . . I just want my customers to know that if you need to place an order this weekend, please call me or email me with it. Our demonstrator business websites and calendar links are presently not working, but SU is working overtime I am sure to get it all back up and running.

There's very sweet little butterfly in the Sale-a-bration set called Elementary Elegance (another sneak peek for you!) and I wanted to show it off on a card in some way. This is what I came up with. I used it with two other stamp sets . . . Raining Flowers and the sentiment from You're a Gem. I just love combining my sets like that to create new and different looks.

I made sure the butterfly stayed the focus by cutting one of them out and attaching it to the top of a small square Beveled Windowpane. I'd lost my windowpanes for quite a while and recently came across them while cleaning my crafting closet. Whoops! Well, they will be back in use again now that I know where they are! lol! The designer series paper is also a sneak peek at our new Twitterpated paper that will debut in the Occasions Mini.

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog today!

Today I have a Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek! The silver and gold are stunning together . . . though I think this is one of those cards that shows itself off better in real life. I've got plans for this card and it involves a demonstrator who truly deserves to be treated like a queen for a day!

This is a close up of my favorite part of this stamp set . . . the gorgeous frame that coordinates with our Curly Label Punch. I love that the trinket crown fit so beautifully into the frame.

I received my Occasions Mini Pre-order this past week and I've been playing! This floral and border set is called "Bordering on Romance" and isn't this border beautiful? This stamp set has a coordinating Big Shot Die so cutting a cute border scallop like that by hand will be a thing of the past! 12/7 Stampin' Up! Hello Doily Birthday

I've seen variations of this card in many different places. I wasn't sure who to give credit to, but then I heard that Becky Roberts originally created it for a Founder's Circle Swap this past fall. I'm not surprised that it's showing up all over the place . . . it's beautiful and easy to make!

Most of the cards I've saved for reference, use the stamp set called Field Flowers, but I didn't have that one . . . so I substituted the flower image from Just Believe. I used Pear Pizzazz for the doily image and the coordinating paper panel. The other images are stamped with Concord Crush . . . love that color!

This card is on my December Card Buffet and will also be featured in my January Card Buffet. If you are local . . . check out my calendar HERE and join us!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

12/6 Stampin' Up! Paper Doily with Tiny Tags

Here's a sweet little sneak peek for you into our upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog . . . the most GORGEOUS die yet . . . a large Sizzlit Die called Paper Doily. I made this card in just minutes after opening up my pre-order . . . and then hours later, gave the card away to a lucky on-time drawing winner at my Stamping to Share Demo meeting! She was very excited to get it!!

What I love? I love that you can use the whole image . . . as I did on this card . . . or that you can cut the image down into smaller doilies . . . as I am sure I will do on future projects. I also love that the pieces popped out very easily when I wrapped the cut out around a pencil. I read this tip on our demo only website and was glad that I did! I still used my Paper Piercer, however, to poke the very tiniest pieces out.

I used Spice Cake Designer Series Paper for the doily . . . I really want to make more of these cards with that paper . . . just love the look of the More Mustard floral piece with this die! Unfortunately, I gave away the card so quickly, that I don't remember what size I made it. I know it fit into one of our square envelopes, though.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Suppin' Up! Supplies Used in this card:

Stamps: Tiny Tags (WM 118091, CM 118592)
Paper: More Mustard (100946), Very Vanilla (101650), Early Espresso (119686), Spice Cake DSP (124003)

12/5 Stampin' Up! Beary Best Friends

Can you believe that I am already prepping for my January Card Buffet? Nope, I can't believe it either!! lol! Here are two cards, however, that will be on the buffet. Very, very sweet little bear birthday cards. There will be a lot of birthday cards on the January Card Buffet to kick off the brand new year!

Here's the little boy bear . . .

and the cute little girl bear!

I used watercolor paper and watercolor pencils with a blender pen to do the coloring. I hope my customers are not intimidated by this technique. It's actually pretty easy when you use watercolor paper because it allows you to work with it for some time without "pilling."

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Stampin' Up! Supplies that I used to create these cards:

Stamps: Beary Best Friends (118052)
Paper: So Saffron (105118), Certainly Celery (105125), Baja Breeze (111352), Subtles Patterns Stack (117152), Watercolor Paper (122959)
Ink: StazOn Black (101406)
Tools: Blender Pen (102845), Watercolor Pencils (101879), 2 1/2" Circle Punch (120906)
Accessories: 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (109034)
Adhesives: MultiPurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

12/2 Stampin' Up! Glimmer Windows

This is the card that my customers got to make at my Sunshine Clubs in November. Isn't it pretty? I used a technique that I am calling "Glimmer Windows." I even made a video if you would like a few additional tips for creating this card.  It's a truly a lovely card, and I hope you have as much fun as my customers and I have had making it.

I especially want to thank Tiffany Bauer for the the basic design of this card. She made a similar card for the 2010 Founder's Circle Swap and I loved it. In her window, she put buttons. I decided to substitute Stampin' Up! Glimmer Paper.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370)
Paper: Basic Black (121045), Glossy White (102599)
Ink: StazOn Black (101406)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Snow Burst Embossing Folder (124096), Word Window Punch (119857), Ornament Punch (119847), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275)
Accessories: Red Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119251)
