One of the fun projects that I did recently started with a trip to Fleet Farm where I picked up a huge jar in the shape of a canning jar . . . complete with “Ball” on the side. Since I’ve been on the lookout for a cute jar to hold my ribbon scraps . . . it caught my eye and purchased it for around $10. Next I needed a tag . . . and I didn’t have to look farther than my newest favorite SU set called Perfectly Preserved. This is the tag I made that I attached directly to the tag the came with the jar.

This is a picture of the tag that came with the jar. My completed tag is to the front and this is what it looked like before I adhered the More Mustard panel to the back of the tag.

Here is a picture of the jar itself. When I was a new demonstrator in 2007, one of my customers had a pile of ribbon clippings next to her and she thought they were too pretty to throw away and asked if I had a jar to put them it. That is what started it all . . . eventually, I filled up four pretty jars with ribbon clippings from my customers!! But . . . I needed something bigger to put the clippings in! Those four jars are now empty, ready for my customers to refill them and the Big Jar is only 1/2 full! It makes for a quite a pretty display.

Here’s a closeup of the jar, the tag and the clippings.

I used a 10″ dinner plate to trace a circle onto the Orchard Harvest Designer Fabric. The top of the lid is padded batting. I used a Rubber Band (non-sewer here!) to keep the top snug to the jar and then used Early Espresso stitched ribbon around the top tied in a big pretty bow. I think it turned out really cute, don’t you?

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by and supporting my business at Stamping to Share!
